YOU, I don't miss those days. Although as you know it all worked out well for me in the end. I still laugh at some of the people I met. One of my favorite's was the guy who looked like Martin Short's character Ed Grimley. We met at a diner for dinner one night. He just wasn't my type. Seemed a little "slow" if you know what I mean. The next day he started texting me knowing I was at a family function. I told him nicely that I think it was best we'd remain just friends. Which he responded with "so you're breaking up with me already?" I didn't think that email needed a response. The next one that he sent was a copy of a text from a friend of his. She was comforting telling him "I'm sorry. I know you really liked this guy." WTF? We went on 1 date!

LOL Boobs - there are no words. Ah yes, Online dating: out of date pictures. Photo retouching, photo effects. Sometimes its amazing you actually recognize the person when you meet. And yes Klingons actually exist in this solar system.

Brd, I didn't hate IF/THEN, but I didn't love it, either. I admired the risks the authors took with the structure of the show, but I found it so confusing that ultimately I just didn't care about the characters. Loved a lot of the score, and of course, what hasn't already been said about Idina Menzel?

I would say Deet gave the review I would give.
While I didn't necessarily find it confusing, I was kind of ready for it to end. It could have been about 20 minutes shorter.
That said, it's stuck with me, and is certainly thought-provoking. The kind of show that you want to discuss over drinks for hours and hours after seeing it.
Idina was wonderful. And Anthony Rapp returned to the show last night, so there was good energy in the theater.

Good luck to the intrepid online daters!

I'm not really an adult, most days, but I wanted to pop in and add my praise of Robbie in the "Big River" concert and to say how happy I was to finally meet Deet (pardon the rhyme) in person.

Addy was kind enough to take me along with her to "If/Then" last night. Being with her was the highlight of the evening, though I found much to admire in the show. I enjoyed Idina much more than I expected to (not a hater--hers is just not my favorite voice), and I thought she managed A LOT of heavy lifting in both the song and book scenes with a great deftness and lightness of touch. But I agree it really started to drag in act II--every time a new song started, my heart sort of sank.

As heart breaking as it can be I always say YES to this song....

If you met him tomorrow and knew you would lose him,
If you saw him and saw all the hurt you would know,
Would you hold him, while you had him?
Or let him go?

If you knew that your laughter would not last forever,
But you knew while it did, you would breathe it like air
Would you let him make you love him?
Would you dare?

Feeling like you feel today,
Tell me you'd just walk away

What would you do if you could do it all over?
What would you do if you could start it all new?
If you could go back, knowing what you know now
What would you do?

I didn't even have to think... Yes.

It really is the kind of show that continues to grow on you as you think about it.

We are in a very happy place at this stage of our marriage, but I still think twice about life about it when I hear that song.

There many other moments like that in the songs. (maybe I will see it someday!)
