I think we used to have a topic for this, but Lord knows where it went off to. I don't know how many of you have been following this season. Last night's episode dealt with Alexis versus Vicky over some trivial drama concerning answering the phone/texting while at lunch/dinner.

While watching this episode, and other episodes, I've come to the following conclusion about this season:

* Alexis is the epitome of everything that annoys the **** out of me when it comes to religion and marriage.
* If Raul Esparza had a shady fraternal twin brother, I'm pretty sure it would be Slade.
* Why grown women act like 15 year old girls is beyond my comprehension, yet somehow I am sucked into watching their antics.
* Adding to the above statement, I'm sensing that at least 90% or more of what I'm watching is staged. Actually, make it 99.9%. Yet I love it anyway, because it's free mindless entertainment.

This is the first season of OC that I've actually watched, and it's so good! It's like reliving high school all over again.

I don't like Alexis either, but she had a point with Vicki. As for Vicki, she's probably my favorite because she's the HBIC on that show and calls people out.

Oh and for the RECORD----Vicki is CORRECT. She is the only one who WORKS and WORKS her ASS off!!!!! Alexis dont tell me you "raise your kids" when you have 2 nannies and you and your husband continually dump them to run off and do things. Alexis' husband is the UGLIEST man alive-face like a foot.

I like Gretchen-at least she never pretends. She is herself.

Lynn is the Bride of Frankenstein and I actually side with her husband. He would do well to leave her and those nightmare daughters and move on.

Simon is abusive and controlling. Total scumbag.

I am starting to see how these shows work-these women have little to do with each other in their "real" lives and Bravo sets them up on "dates". Ever notice they are always eating dinner when the fur starts flying.

Its funny because for many seasons I hated Vicki now I have the most empathy for her.

I despise Alexis - it makes me gag that she is practically cutting her husband's meat for him. And he is repulsive - he looks like a guy who pumps gas and lives in a trailer. I'm not clear where their money comes from??

Vicki bugs me and her poor daughter looks like she's gained 75 pounds since the show started.

I think Gretchen and Slade will probably have a sex video out within the next few months.

And Lynn is a pathetic excuse for a mother....what the hell is she thinking??

The person I actually like the best is Don, Vicki's husband.

Alexis' husband comes off like a bully. And it looks as though he could have a drinking problem (purple nose). I can't believe how she waits on him hand and foot (still LOL at face like a foot).

Lynn's facial expressions were hilarious when they were praying at lunch.

I absolutely HATE Vicki and Tamra. Vicki is so judgmental, jealous, superficial, and soooo needy- and annoying. Everything she does is to get attention on herself. Those renewed vows with her husband made me laugh- I think she could have done that without all the cameras and it was funny how he gave her that ring and she had already counted the carat weight!

I like Briana and I think her weight gain may have something to do with all the lumps on her neck and thyroid. I hope she is well. Vicki's son Michael is a d-bag in my opinion and he is sooo ugly!

I really like Gretchen and I think she is the most beautiful on the show- I think she is the only one with a college degree- or at least I know she went to college. Slade is just a camera ho! (by the way, whatever happened to Jo's singing career)Tamra's son is also a huge loser! My fingers would hurt if I typed all the things that are wrong with Lynn and her skanky daughters.

Alexis isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and I agree- her husband is UGLY! The way they use their religion is just ridiculous! However, I like her because she is not afraid to tell off Vicki and I love when Vicki gets told off!

And yet- I watch this pathetic show! p.s. I miss Jeanna

Gretchen is probably my second favorite. She is beautiful, hilarious, and keeps it real!

This is the first season I'm watching, so I really didn't get to know Jeanna, but from what I saw, she is a sh*t starter who acts like she wants peace, but continues to stir the pot.

I know I shouldn't, but for some strange reason, I really like Vicki. My friend who schooled me on the OC housewives told me Vicki is the one I shouldn't like, but I really like her.

Alexis is very beautiful, but I think her marriage seems really fake. Maybe it's the editing, but I won't be surprised if her husband beats her when the cameras are off. And the woman has three nannies. What does she need three nannies for?

Lynn I actually liked at the beginning of the season, but she's starting to get on my nerves. I'm on her husband's side too. And that daughter of hers pisses me off. I think the problem is Lynn tries to befriend her daughters, which shouldn't be the way to handle things.

Tamara is okay, but she comes off as boring. So does Simon.

What is the story on Slade? Why does everyone on the show hate him? He and Gretchen seem to be the most real couple on the show.

As for the dinners, lunches, and events, I'm pretty sure they are all set up. I don't think these women hang out outside the show. Some of them probably, but not all. They probably hang during film and other promotional events, but that's it. It's like every other reality show that follows the lives of people. They have their "real" lives and their "filmed" lives. Two very separate entities.

degrassi, Gretchen was engaged to this old guy with cancer (Jeff I think) and Slade was a producer on the show. Jeff died and Slade moved right in on Gretchen.

I used to not like Vicki much, but over the seasons I've grown accustom to her. If I had to choose a favorite, it probably would be Gretchen. She may come off silly at times, but she doesn't seem fake. Or at least not as fake as Alexis. I'm by no means violent, but I can honestly say that Alexis is the only housewife I want to punch in the face. I find her incredibly annoying.

It sucks that Lynne is stuck in a tough situation with her husband - however - I feel she could have tried asking about finances earlier on instead of sitting back and letting her husband have control. But then I guess we wouldn't have any drama this season! Who knows.

People don't like Slade because he has dated at least 3 different housewives from the show and in the beginning actually seemed to think he WAS one of the housewives.

I am very excited for the nyc housewives starting soon!

Lynn is just...not of this planet. I really want to know what she's on. Her husband seems clinically depressed. At the end of the last episode when he said to his daughter, " I think we need a nice family vacation..." What? So you just lost your house, your marriage is on the skids, and you want to go on vacation?

Tamyra is a trouble-maker. Her husband is overprotective and it seems like she doesn't have the self esteem to stand up to him.

I can't help it, I like Vickie. She is definitely dramatic, but I respect the fact that she works. Now if she'd only come down a little on her son!

I was so happy that Breanna stood up for her mom during that horrible lunch.

Slade looks like an old screech owl. He's so skeevy.

And what was up with Alexis praying?

The forum on another site refers to Alexis' husband as Fat F..k Taliban Jim and Alexis as Jugs 4 Jesus...and seriously, my feet are insulted at being compared to his face.

This season is nothing but a collection of screaming matches and embarrassments. Vicki really nailed it this episode when she said "It's not fun anywmore." Jeana was very smart to move on and Vicki would be wise to follow.

What amazes me even further is that ALL of the housewives make little to no money off these francises. Andy Cohen, who I regard as a mildly humorous tool, is a genius. He gets these morons to perform like trained animals for little to no money. Bravo basically tells them that these shows will lead to other endorsements for them. Bravo also gets a cut from some of their extra-curricular Bravo gigs. These women (lately) have allowed there financial collapses and humiliations to be broadcast for little to no $$$$. These people are idiots.

Thanks guys for explaining to me! Wow, so Slade got around? Wait, as a producer, is he even supposed to have romantic involvements with anyone on the show? I thought it was against the rules on most reality shows.

NYC Housewives is starting soon! In March, I think. I read DC is already filming, and there's apparently going to be a Beverly Hills version.

Did anyone else catch when Simon was talking about how much better he and Tamyra's relationship was before Vickie, and he said "remember how in love with you was I?" Or something along those lines. lol.

I think so. I love the fact that she says that church is a way to bring her family together, but as soon as they get there, they drop the children off at the churchy daycare before even going in.
