Flynn Rider?? lol no way this can be legit.

The link just takes me to the Disney land theme park website.
This just seems amiss - why would they rename Rapunzel's Prince to Flynn Rider but not Florinda and Lucinda to Drizella and Anastasia?
I don't think this is legit. Cause first off, this isn't Disney's Rapunzel. It's Sondheim's Rapunzel. Naming the prince Flynn Ryder is laughable and almost insulting.
Updated the link address.
It is the official Disney.com page, so it seems legit. I wonder who "Flynn Ryder" was before?
Does ITW even have an official website yet? I can't find it and the link you provide is still just sending me to Disney Parks.
My guess is this is more to do with dialogue additions than anything. The princes and the stepmother do not have names in the stage show.
@ShakinBaconGirl Try going to the Disney movies page and clicking on "Into The Woods".
They renamed the three faeries for Maleficent, and they stick to Rapunzel's "prince" being Flynn Rider? I'll have some of what Disney's having.
That's very odd... Hmm...
This HAS to be a mistake....Disney can't be THAT protective of their characters!
I'm confused. Are you guys telling me that they will actually call the Prince "Flynn Rider" in this film? We will actually hear the words Flynn rider in this ?
To be fair, it's also crediting an all-new song for the adaptation that appears to have since been excised if it's the same one talked about for ages.

It would be ridiculous if they did do this because a: Flynn Rider was not a prince, not until he married Rapunzel anyway. The reverse is true in Into the Woods. And b: Would Disney really want to take their beloved character and portray him as the selfish jerk he is in Into the Woods? (I know that Flynn Rider had some selfish tendencies, but he was overall a likable character. Rapunzel's Prince is almost as terrible as his brother.)
Yeah, there is no way this is real.

But but but... do we even know for sure this prince cheats on Rapunzel? Hmmmmmmm

Yeah, there is no way this is real.
Umm…it's the film's official site.
The people who have seen the screenings didn't mention anything about this...

lol if this is true then stupid Disney.

It could still very well be in the credits to count for Oscar contention...

It also doesn't make sense because Flynn Rider isn't supposed to be a prince yet when he meets Rapunzel, whereas it's well established that "Rapunzel's Prince" is already a prince, and that he is the brother of another prince.
EDIT: Sorry, just noticed that thebeautyis3 made this point already

Look at Once Upon A Time. Although the characters and their stories often bore little to no resemblance to their appearance in the Disney versions they still had names like Belle.
For the record, I hate that show and am not saying it and INTO THE WOODS are anywhere near the same class.
