For some reason, chuckydisc thinks it is outrageous to think Taylor is going to start as Evan on Tuesday 1/30, after Noah leaves on Sunday, 1/28, since there is no proof that this date is happening other than Noah saying that is his last date as Evan, and there is no additional proof Taylor will immediately join the company then, since it hasn't been officially announced either?!
But for everyone else, it's pretty safe to run with Noah is leaving 1/28, and Taylor starts on 1/30."
Please stop mis-quoting me.
YOU said he WAS starting and I asked for the announcement.
Had you said that you THOUGHT that he was starting then that's another story.

I'm not sure much of BWW will live up to your grammatical rigor.

Just as one plus one does not equal three, your belief does not equate to being fact.

DEH site states that Taylor will assume the role mid-January but Taylor is in Dolly till 1/14.

According to Olivia Puckett’s instagram, taylor has already begun rehearsals. I think they gave Noah around 4 weeks.

Taylor starts February 6th with Noah's final performance on February 4th."
According to this article: "Original cast members Laura Dreyfuss, Tony winner Rachel Bay Jones, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Tony nominee Mike Faist, Michael Park, and Will Roland have all extended their contracts and will remain with the musical through May 2018"
How literal do we suppose that end date is, i.e., will the last show for all of them be on May 31 (a Thursday), or will they finish out the week with the final performance being June 3 (a Sunday)?

I don’t suspect it's literal at all. My guess would be either May 13 or May 20, which would be 6 months after Ben's departure, or 1 year and 6 months after the date of the first preview.

So you think they're going to leave before the end of May?

That was quite a leap from them leaving in May actually meaning early June.
Telecharge will let you switch it to an earlier date, though.

They signed contracts from mid-November 2016 to mid-November 2017. Every cast member except Ben and Kristolyn (who is leaving in March) has signed six-month extensions, meaning their contracts will be up in mid-May 2018. That doesn't mean they will all leave on that day, as some of them might extend further. In fact, I really doubt 6/8 cast members would leave on the same day, but maybe I'm wrong.

No, it wasn't; the article states "will remain with the musical through May 2018". The word "through" implies "through the end of". Do you consider May 13 or even May 20 to be the end of the month?

No, but you're confusing contract language with conversational speech. Not to mention, contract extensions don't mean they are leaving then, either. Just that they extended their time in the show until then... at which point, they can decide to add another six months. At which point, then can again decide to add another six months.

I'm not confusing anything; I quoted the article and asked a question based on what the article said. The article doesn't include the performer's contract language.

And CT2NYC replied that they would be finishing in May. I was about to say the same thing, but when I hit reply, his reply was already there, so I didn't bother.
