"I just find it funny that CBS felt that Tonys warranted a time-delay. This is a (relatively) classy awards show, not the Superbowl Half-Time Show, or the MTV VMAs. Other than a few curse words, what horrible obscenities were they expecting would happen?"
orangeskittles- As CBS is no doubt aware, theatre people are wierd and scary! There's no telling what awful things they could do live, on national TV! For all we know, they might all take off their clothes and hold a mass orgy on the stage!!! :-O They could even... *gasp* start singing showtunes! 
It is ridiculous, I agree.
