I don't wish unemployment on anyone, especially a cast that seems really happy with their jobs so I'm going to continue to think positively. This Board seems very quick to assume the worst about certain shows. I also don't think the Derek recording has anything to do with Anastasia nor do I think he is coming back anytime soon. He's currently involved with another promising show.

I want to clarify that I agree eith you-I've spent quite a large amount of money seeing the show multiple times, seeing the bryant park performance over the summer, going to the CD signing they had when the hard copy first came out. The only thing I've spend /more/ money on than the amount of times I've seen Anastasia is college tuition and plane tickets to see family By no means do I wish for or /want/ the show to close, but for me it doesn't look the most promising of it having much of a life past the end of spring/beginning of summer. I wish, in all honesty, that the show would stay open another full year (at least) after March 2019. I know if a closing gets announced I know I will actually be devestated, so for me it is less assuming the worst and more an attempt to soften a blow.
I just hold it doesnt close on March 17 like the Christy discount suggests. Im seeing BMC that day

I think that date is more a function of Spring Break season picking up that week

I agree, I think at the very least it will reach the two year anniversary (march 23 for previews/april 24 for official opening)

Cody is extending until April 14 per his Instagram. Either they did not have a replacement plan or they have someone in mind who maybe is not available yet.

Oh no, I'm seeing it March 5th heard nothing but bad things about him on this board I hope he improves by then.
Why would they extend him if he's such a disaster?

I think he has fans who genuinely like his performance. He is always reposting their posts on social media.
I do not think he is a disaster but he is not great either. I was still able to enjoy the show with him in it.
