The book ends with a loving and insightful coda by Laurent's good friend and the editor of this book, David Saint, which reveals the real story of his death.

BroadwayWorld should have a contest for who can guess the "real story" behind the death of Arthur Laurents.

(And, if anyone is worried, I have a reasonably good alibi.)

The killer always has a "reasonably good alibi" at the beginning of the mystery, joey.

An alibi that later proves to have a gap just long enough for him to have committed the murder.

So don't tell the cops anything, except you want a lawyer.

LOL. Case closed. Why buy the book?

Oh, that's right, we buy the book because we can't resist Laurents' snarkiness even while we profess indignation. (This is a general remark, joey, and not directed at you. I read your reference to having been critical of Laurents in the past, but I didn't see those posts.)

I think it's more like the end of "Murder on the Orient Express".

I love the ORIENT EXPRESS reference! Funny on several levels.
