With all of the glowing reviews of this production, what do you Manhatanites think? Could this show be a possible tranfer to Circle in the Square in time for Tony eligibility? We saw "Fool Moon" several times during its 3 runs and first fell in love with Bill Irwin when he staged "Largely New York," I think at the Saint James. We loved the accompanying ensemble when they did "Fool Moon" and I read that the gal that leads the ensemble on "Old Hat" is "top drawer."
They are selling tickets on the Signature website through May 9, so a transfer this season seems unlikely. I would see it at Signature (which is a smaller venue than Circle in the Square) while you have the chance. It's the most fun I've had at the theater this year.
So glad that you had the opportunity see the show, unfortunetly I live on the west coast so I wont be able to get back there to see it. But if its anywhere near as good as their previous shows, I know its a rollicking nigt at the theater!
Most of the run is sold out, but the higher priced extension tickets may be available. And be aware that now and then, seats do pop up the day of or the day before a performance. That may have to do with unused house seats getting released for general sale. PS- the title is Old Hats, plural.
