Though I don't follow baseball, that must be heartbreaking for the player to be sent back to the minors, where he can no longer support his family. I hope he finds success again.
I am not sure if he is married and he still got major league salaries for a few years so he is not yet at the stage of selling pencils on the street
My guess is if he can find the magic again in the minors, he will be picked up by another team. A young first baseman with power who bats lefty. The world is his oyster. Right now he is gutting fish metaphorically of course.
