How long do people think it will be on Broadway? Also, is it worth it? I was thinking about seeing it (Laura is one of my favs and I really like the soundtrack), but I don't want to waste my money on those expensive tix if it isn't worth it...

Based on current sales it will be around for at least 2 years. Possibly more.
Is it worth it? Who knows? This has been quite the devisive show. People seem to love it or hate it. I loved it in Boston, but only liked it in NY. Your will not get a definitive answer here.

I agree, this has been fairly polarizing show. Critics hated it, but audiences seem to really enjoy it. It's been doing quite well too, so it should be around a while.

I was hesitant to see it after I had read the reviews.A friend ended up dragging me to it and it was honestly a lovely evening at the theater. I really enjoyed the show and went back a second time to see it. It's not the best show I've ever seen, but it was a very magical performance and I would recommend it to anyone.

Don't hesitate and go see this show! I truly loved it. I feel like people on this board love to hate it and make the flaws seem so much worse than it is. And everyone can connect to this story at least a little bit.

I really liked it, was it my favorite, no but I did like it enough to want to go back again! Personally I think everything is great with the show but doesn't really fit the time period or everything else going on, like the dancing, its great but doesn't really fir the rest of the show same with the costumes. I love love the music, but It doesn't really fit the time period.

There are so many other amazing musicals to see. Saw it and really didn't care for it. Much better quality work is being done at Matilda, Kinky Boots, Something Rotten!, Fun Home, Beautiful, On The Town, King and I, and Hedwig to name a few. The show is poorly constructed, mixed with a lousy pop score and special effects. Not worth the $$ in my opinion.

I fell asleep in the first half for a bit during the "big" numbers. I felt the whole thing rather boring. And it does not end in my opinion when it should with the mother in the whirlpool of golden flecks. The next 15 minutes of singing followed by explanation is not necessary. It should just have gone to the explanation if it felt it was necessary.

I'd say you have at least 6-8 months to decide whether you want to go or not.
It is a very divisive show here on BWW but the box office has been more than healthy and steady , so I think that counts for something while you decide.

Worst-written musical I've ever seen out of over two hundred. It's almost a litmus test for whether you go to the theatre for challenging storytelling, or for belty buffish generic showinesss.

Yes, FN has been very polarizing. But given that you personally really like the soundtrack and LMK is one of your favs, you should definitely go, no question.

I only saw it because of Anthony Warlow. It's no masterpiece, but I was legitimately entertained pretty much 90% of the time (which was more than I expected). It was worth it to see him. And the previously mentioned scene with the gold glitter is beautiful.

Could be, but I think a year will probably be enough to recoup their costs. They are grossing a 1.1 million/week and if they follow the trajectory of some shows come September they might dip down 40 % to 700-800K/week which should be enough to keep them going until the XMAS upswing.

This is not a good musical but I still had a good time. Much of the music is enjoyable so if you like the album I say go for it, but there are better things to see. I liked the show A LOT better when I saw it in Boston. I absolutely hated Matthew Morrison in it but whatever.

I agree David - loved it in Boston, loved Jordan - hated it on Broadway, hated Morrison. A lot of people who have saw it both in NY and in Boston seem to agree.

Another vote from one who says go see it.
It was in my top 5 of enjoyable new musicals this year, which is to say: it's no masterpiece, and the lyric and book writing is especially crappy, but by God I had a good time there both times I saw it. (Brought my husband with me for the second viewing and he absolutely abhorred it. So there ya go.)

The show is NOT grossing 1.1 million, that's what it's taking in. With a nut in the 700,000 field they are lucky to be "grossing" 300,000 a week. If and when Morrison leaves the show will probably take a nose dive.

Put me in the category that found the show as less than perfect, but enjoyed it enough to see it again.
Anthony Warlow does an outstanding job. I do believe the show will continue with or without Morrison. I believe the general public interest in it is based upon the storyline of Peter Pan, along with word of mouth and audience reviews.
