E.Davis, you mean because she's white? Probably not.

IIRC, Amneris & Radames are Egyptian, right? So one would hope that a 2016 production of Aida would cast POC. The recent Muny production obviously didn't do that, however.

The show itself was good and the cast was AMAZING.   I saw the original cast on Broadway and loved the show.  A couple of years later, I saw the show on tour and was not impressed.   The incredible cast elevates the entire score and lifts up a few of the mediocre songs in the show.

Saw it twice. Can't believe it took HEATHER HEADLEY this long to return to the stage... Such a true talent. I bawled both times...
