I found an earlier thread from this message board where they listed good songs and monolouges for auditions, but I'm still having trouble finding a comedic monolouge that I would like to do for my audition to get into the amazing actor training program at my college. Also, I have found lots of comedic monolouges but the reason I don't really like them is I want it to just be funny, not the character telling a story where it just seems like i'm telling the person I'm auditioning for one big joke. I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me. :)

I just went through the same process. I used the coathanger sculpture monologue from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Another good one is I wish I were a queen from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

May I suggest you check into the following:

all three acts of Neil Simon's PLAZA SUITE (especially Act one)
act One and act three of Simon's LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS
act of of Kaufman and Hart's THE ROYAL FAMILY
Simon's THE GINGERBREAD LADY
the Googie breakdown scene from act two of Terrence McNally's THE RITZ

there are tons..........a quick phone call or email to the drama book shop in New York will lead you to a treasure trove of what you are seeking if the above mentioned to not please you. Good luck! :)
