I love the CD for Best Little WhoreHouse Goes Public! I remember reading reviews for Whorehouse Goes Public and feeling so bad for Dee Hoty....who was always talked about highly in the reviews, by the way.
"I'm Leaving Texas" and "Piece of the Pie" are two favorites from the CD...OH! and the lovely "Well were here for the hearing" song, which is a lot of fun!
"My dreams, watching me said, one to the other...this life has let us down."
The first time I did the show Doatsie Mae was also sang and said The Band Leader's role which fleshed out her part making her more of the narrator and the audience saw the show through her eyes. It was a nice touch.

Dee dose a great job on the cd. Maybe the could remount the original show with her. I sure she would sing the hell otta that score. Her Hard Candy Christmas would be wonderful!

I'd watch her sing the alphabet!! I only got the chance to actually "meet" her once, in LA, and like I said before...she was a very sweet person who signed my Will Rogers program willingly. I want her back on the NY boards...NOW!
"My dreams, watching me said, one to the other...this life has let us down."
I'd also like the new song "A Friend To Me" and not that it would ever happen but Dolly's addition of "Sneakin' Around With You" would be fun. Maybe Lilias would play Jewel?

OMG! I would love to she Lillias in it. And I totally agree about the songs. Wonder boy - why don't we produce it!? I'm sure it would be a thousand times better than some of the coughbrooklyncough shows that we have seen.
