Being that broadway shows run for a large piece of the week, what do you all think about the casts performances? I mean, do you think they do a better job early on in the week while their voices are all fresh from the break or later in the week after they`ve done it a few times???

Probably varies from cast to cast. From personal experiance i usually perform better in the middle of a run just b/c ive lost all the jitters from the initial shows but am not totally exhausted.

Depends on the performer and the show.

I have often wondered if it is better to see the matinee rather than the evening show for the same reason. I guess I figured that the performers are more rested in the afternoon.

It really depends on the individual. Some actors love 2 shows a day, so have dificulty. I saw Kathleen Turner in Virgina Woolf on a matinee and she was very off.
