Stage legends Carol Channing, Robert Goulet, Harvey Fierstein and Tommy Tune present this collection of classic performances from the annual Tony Awards broadcasts. The evening features the timeless music of Lerner and Loewe, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Kern and the Gershwins and dazzling performances by Julie Andrews (pictured, My Fair Lady, Camelot); Ethel Merman (Gypsy, Call Me Madam); Zero Mostel (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and many more of Broadway's biggest stars.
the into the woods performance on this features what i can only assume to be one of the few times thye lip synced part of a tony number. since the wolves and the ugly witch were all doubles.
