After having spent months listening to this beautiful song on the "Piazza" cast recording, and enjoying the novelty of the fact that I knew exactly what Matthew Morrison was singing about even though I don't know a word of Italian, I feel that the time has finally come to get an English translation of the lyrics. Can anyone help me out?

I'm surprised that it's not online somewhere.
I can attempt to translate it if you give me the lyrics.
If you send me or tell me where to find the lyric of this song I can translate it for you. The title means: " The world was empty"

The CD book has the translation.
Hmm...I'll try to find the lyrics online someplace (don't have the liner notes with me), and type them into Babelfish and see what happens...
The CD book has the translation? Well, I feel silly...
