Imnot surehow many people have seen and/or heard of BARE: A Pop Opera, but I have. I really feel that this play needs to be revived. I heart it to pieces. It has a very strong plot that is extremely realistic and needs to be heard by a lot of people. The musical score is beautiful and breathtaking, and it really explains a lot. Does anyone agree?
I completely agree. The cast was unbelievable and the songs were really great. With a tiny amount of rewriting, I can see it becoming a major success. It strongly depended on word of mouth, and it has a huge "cult" following.

Yah it did need some tweaking here and there lol. It was so good tho. As of word of mouth, im currently trying to get my friends into bare, and so far its worked. I wish there was something we could do. I want to talk to my music teacher about producing it for school, but i think there are references that are too inapropriate so i guess it would be a no heheh.
Ironically I am listening to this musical right now. I definately agree- with a few adjustments I think this could be pretty successful. How do you think it would have done if it hadn't lost it's funding? It could at least be done by community theatre(though the issues addressed are pretty heavy). I have heard that the rights are available but that they are extremely expensive, but I don't know how true this is.
Yah you never know i guess... If it didnt lose its funding I think it would become popular enough to attract most of the population of america, minus the homophobes.
