Just caught Naked Boys Singing in Provincetown. Having seen the show several times in NY, I must say that this cast tops them all. Not only are they all gorgeous, charming, and seem like really sweet guys, but they can genuinely sing! They all have beautiful voices. The "Window" song (and its reprise) were absolutely stunning. Actually, all the solos were really good and real funny. Having seen the show a few months ago Off-Broadway I really hope the producers bring these boys to NY. They upstage every other production I've seen.

Wow...this is great to hear you say that because one of my friends is actually in that production! LOL I haven't gotten a chance to go see it yet but thanks for the heads up that it is good with this cast.

its kind of funny...there's also a copy-cat show called "Barenaked Lads" (haven't seen it, but it isn't getting great word of mouth), but in this week's Provincetown magazine there's an ad saying "The REAL naked boys are back in Ptown!". Its funny. LIke the Jets and the Sharks :)
No offense- but Ive seen this show in P-Town and I was a complete disaster!
They have this every year in Crown & Anchor .. Do they a different cast this year?
I dont wanna be mean.... but the last few years that I saw the show on P-Town...
Some of those guys in NMS oughta put back their clothes !!! I'm sorry
With Naked Boys Singing & Confession of a Mormon Boy in P-Town this summer..

It hasn't been in Ptown for over 2 years, and last time it was at the Post Office. The 2001 production (at the crown) was super controversial here because of the nudity laws. Anywhoo, its a new cast every year...and none of these boys (from what I could tell from the playbills) have ever been in the show before. And trust me, you want to see these boys with out there clothes on
yup- youre right that was 2001 at Crown & Anchor.
I say this bec. I knew one of the guy in the show in 2001- he dated a friend of mine
that summer ( i mean.. literally that summer for like 3 mos)
I will definitely check it & give it 1 more chance
Thanks

Who's in the cast of the PTown NAKED BOYS?
Stand-by Joined: 1/18/05
michael munoz (naked maid), steve riggle (porn star), alex ringler (nothing but the radio on), jeff burroughs (robert mitchum), zach claus (window to window), and christopher henry (entertainer).
The shows a lot of fun and I'm very anxious for Rue McClanahan's event at Town Hall tomorrow night!
Never did understand the point of NBS. Ok, sure....for the sake of argument, yes, they are singing, singing very nice songs, and they are very talented.
Why do they have to be naked? Can't the songs and their talent stand on their own merit?
Or, am I doing it again........thinking logically?
Hahaha, Neal... I've seen the show 10 times...a little much I know. But I find it's fun and entertaining. I've seen new casts, some good some not so good.
Is there a link to the two shows that are playing in Provincetown? I'm only about 5 hours away, and have been told I MUST go to Provincetown.
BTW- I "might" do a JAYSTARR 10/10 REPORT : (SUMMER EDITION: PROVINCETOWN)
It's just there are not enough shows in P-Town this Summer (mostly cabaret acts and I really want to feature musicals & plays ) I might do like 3 shows and put it all together in 1 posting (with pics of course ! ) and a little guide on P-Town regarding theater ...IF ....I will do that. I might post it by August...
Besides- Provincetown had changed alreaday from its heydays in the 90's...not the same anymore (It's becoming like Key West ......) Too bad ! I was too young then,
though I enjoyed it in its last cycle - 2000-2003. Basically after 2004- it went downhill from then (based on what the the local guys here, some of my friends who have houses in P-Town & Truro and stores in Commercial street were saying) I guess, what I mean to say.. is.. its becoming "touristy " (well I dont mean anything bad by saying that ..but you get the point - the "excitement" was gone )
Hope this helps:

Man, I'd love to see this and Rue's show in Provincetown. They get all the good, gay shows in the summer.
I bet the Provincetown crowd will be quite the audience for Rue!
The NYC production of NBS has been lacking ever since George Levengood (I'm probably misspelling his last name) left the show. He was so hot and funny and adorable, also was a total doll after the show.
