Angela Lansbury sat behind me at "The King & I" at Lincoln Center. The Sunday matinee of "A Little Night Music," Bill, Hillary, Chelsea and husband Marc attended. When they walked in, the entire theatre started to applaud. On the way out of the theatre, B&H were shaking people's hands and chatting. I was able to shake both of their hands. :)
Barbara Walters was next to me at "Something Rotten."

Audience Rewards ticket locations
A bit off topic, but still on point with AR - when I was in NYC last month, I purchased my tickets for "Lost Boys" and "Schmigadoon," at their respective box offices. I gave my AR number to the box office person, and they each entered the number into their system - just like I did with a few other shows that I bought directly at the box office.
Within a few days after seeing all my shows - 15 total, all the AR points posted - except f
New Billy Crystal one man show inspired by loss of his home in California wildfires to premiere at the Shubert in October
Same here - there's nothing on the AR page for "860."
Trump Takeover of the country
What I wouldn't give to be there and watch his name get taken down - throw his name down on the ground, and stomp all over it.
RAGTIME closing August 16th; Cast Changes in Final Weeks
Not really a big surprise that there will be cast changes. It was always scheduled for a limited run, and I'm sure those actors who are departing, are moving on to other projects, or can't commit to an extension - for whatever reason. It's not some big snub or anything like that. Why try to make something out of nothing?
Announced But Never Played
In May 2015, it was announced that "On The Town" would do a national tour, with Tony Yazbeck reprising his Tony nominated role. Never happened.

CHESS Sets June 21 Closing

Several comments here on the thread referred to the Trump & Biden jokes in the show and being in bad taste. So......? It's really no big deal. And, the show isn't shoving anything down anyone's throats.."
It's not that those jokes are in bad taste- it's that they're hacky and tonally out of step with the show (a show set forty years ago!). The show manages to make political jokes that are toothle
CHESS Sets June 21 Closing
It's very unfortunate when a show closes and actors, musicians, crew and theatre staff will be out of work. I consider myself fortunate to have seen the show twice. First time was in November, right after the opening, and the second time a few weeks ago. Loved every minute of it. Very unfortunate that cast member Casey Garvin was injured not long after the show opened, and wasn't able to return.
Several comments here on the thread re
Caps in theaters
I'm 6'4", and very aware that with being so tall, I don't want to obstruct anyone sitting behind me. When I wear my baseball cap at the theatre, I always take it off before the show starts. A few times people behind me have asked if I could remove it, and I always say that I will remove it before the show starts. Problem solved.
Woman Of The Year Revival Anyone ???
Such a great show. Saw it with Betty & Raquel in NYC, and then again when Betty toured and the show came to Los Angeles at The Ahmanson Theatre.
Official: Jamie Lloyd's EVITA to open on Broadway in Spring 2027
OhHiii said: "It'll definitely be released on streaming. No one uses CDs in any meaningful way anymore, so Vinyl has become a big go-to for physical releases. They must not be doing a large pressing to cut down on production costs because who the hell is going to buy a $90 vinyl of Evita?"
Yes, $90 is a bit much for a vinyl. Who knew that vinyl would make a big comeback? I only purchase my music on cd. Have no clue on how to download or
Broadway Performers - Side Jobs
Kad is correct. Casey Garvin has been doing personal fitness training for many, many years - in between Broadway shows.
Casey Garvin in "Chess"
Saw the show again last night. Just fantastic!!!! Casey is still in it. He's one of the reporters in the video segment on the back screens. :)
Casey Garvin in "Chess"
Thanks for the update on Casey. That's too bad. Seeing "Chess" tomorrow night again. Bought the tickets many months ago, with the hope that he was returning.
Are Wednesday matinees still useful writ large?
Got here on Saturday, and seeing 15 shows, including many a matinee - "Fallen Angel," "Ragtime," "Cats," "The Great Gatsby," "Two Strangers," Oh, Mary," and "Death of A Salesman." Love a matinee day, and a 3 show day on Saturday with OM's 5pm curtain.
Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan
Saw the show last night via a Standing Room ticket that I got 1 hour before curtain. JJ was fantastic! This was my 3rd time seeing it - loved it. Saw JJ in concert 2 weeks ago in Los Angeles. In regards to a previous post, last night I didn't see anyone with a look on their face of "let's go." And, if that's the case.......they are free to leave.
"Leave no single seat" policy when booking
It's terrible. And, makes absolutely no sense at all.
