Got my tickets for Aaron's final performance on Saturday night, 8/29 and the final performance on Sunday, 8/30. This is one of my favorite shows. First saw the show in August 2019, a few days after opening, and then again on the reopening night in Sept 2021, when Broadway came back after Covid.

Oy! Some just love doom and gloom. Broadway has faced many, many challenges over the decades and is still going strong.

Saw them at Carnegie Hall in November 2023 with the NY Pops. It was a fantastic concert. I believe that was their first concert together. Perhaps it's changed a bit now that they have been doing it for several years now.

Saw the show in April. Always sad when a show closes prematurely and so many people are out of work. This show is so specific. An off-Broadway run was really more appropriate for it. I certainly appreciated the sheer talent of the cast. Incredible performers. Having seen the original show so many times, that's the "Cats" that I'm used to and will favor.

Hopefully it will be released, and not just sit on a shelf somewhere. Will be seeing "Jersey Boys" in Chicago in November. Very excited to see the show again. Saw JB several times in Chicago during its original 2 year run that opened in October 2007.

If there's ever a Broadway revival of "The Life," Alex can portray Sonja, and sing "The Oldest Profession."

Thanks for the very detailed report of last night's concert. Looks fantastic. As far as the "no shows," I'm sure they all had other commitments, and something came up. Not unusual for things to change by the time they are announced to the night of the show. It's not as if they just didn't show up, and nobody knew what happened to them.

A bit off topic, but still on point with AR - when I was in NYC last month, I purchased my tickets for "Lost Boys" and "Schmigadoon," at their respective box offices. I gave my AR number to the box office person, and they each entered the number into their system - just like I did with a few other shows that I bought directly at the box office. Not really a big surprise that there will be cast changes. It was always scheduled for a limited run, and I'm sure those actors who are departing, are moving on to other projects, or can't commit to an extension - for whatever reason. It's not some big snub or anything like that. Why try to make something out of nothing?

It's very unfortunate when a show closes and actors, musicians, crew and theatre staff will be out of work. I consider myself fortunate to have seen the show twice. First time was in November, right after the opening, and the second time a few weeks ago. Loved every minute of it.
