Seeing Linda on Thursday night here in So Cal.  Can't wait!  

Saw the show several years ago, and loved it.  Will definitely see it again in May.  

Looking forward to seeing the movie in December when it's released.  

Have seen Linda Eder in concert twice this year.  February was in Cerritos, and April in Palm Springs.  Will be seeing her again in December here in So Cal.  Fantastic voice and fantastic performer.  Have seen her in concert over 50 times, including 54 Below.  Go see her.  You'll be glad you did.  

If the rights are held by Paramount, and they won't release them - there's the answer regarding the film version.  

I saw the show on Sunday afternoon.  Your review is pretty spot on.  

Even though this production was from LA Opera, the subtitles displayed on the screens really weren't necessary.  It seemed as if the tempos of the songs were slowed down a bit, so that the audience could keep up with reading the subtitles.

In this interview from around 1h13min, Rex Smith says it was 5 and a half weeks into rehearsal, at the dress rehearsal, that the plug was pulled on LA.

Both interviews when discussing Faye are very, very complimentary to her, and very fair regarding what she could and couldn't do.  Anastasia's insight was pretty spot on.

Faye never got to perform, she was let go during a final dress rehearsal, on a Thursday afternoon.  Glenn Close was still in the show and was leaving on the coming Sunday - 3 days later.  Glenn's standby Karen Mason would perform as Norma for 1 week, with Faye starting 1 week later. 

If you didn't already see this video that I posted earlier on the thread, SB cast member Anastasia Barzee speaks very highly of Faye, starting at the 5:30 mark.

Yes, I know.    I was trying to post a photo of Faye from a costume fitting of her in the gold "Perfect Year" dress.  For some reason, I'm unable to post it.

I had 2 friends in the LA production, and they both told me - decades ago, that her final put in was never filmed.  

I tried to attach a costume test photo of Faye from "Sunset" in her gold dress for "The Perfect Year."  But, it's not letting me do it for some reason.  :(  

Rumors have been around since 1994 that there was an audio recording of her final put in rehearsal.  Here we are all these decades later, and still looking - hoping, that it actually exists.
