Thanks for the update on Casey. That's too bad. Seeing "Chess" tomorrow night again. Bought the tickets many months ago, with the hope that he was returning.

Are Wednesday matinees still useful writ large? Apr 29 2026, 09:19:45 AM
Got here on Saturday, and seeing 15 shows, including many a matinee - "Fallen Angel," "Ragtime," "Cats," "The Great Gatsby," "Two Strangers," Oh, Mary," and "Death of A Salesman." Love a matinee day, and a 3 show day on Saturday with OM's 5pm curtain.

Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan Apr 26 2026, 08:55:48 AM
Saw the show last night via a Standing Room ticket that I got 1 hour before curtain. JJ was fantastic! This was my 3rd time seeing it - loved it. Saw JJ in concert 2 weeks ago in Los Angeles. In regards to a previous post, last night I didn't see anyone with a look on their face of "let's go." And, if that's the case.......they are free to leave.

Ragtime Tour? PBS Filming? Apr 10 2026, 12:39:54 PM
It's quite possible that there could be a tour of the show. The majority of Broadway shows are filmed for archival purposes. Anything filmed for PBS, or commercial release is extremely expensive. Time will tell.
Where did you hear this? Or, are people just hoping?

Les Mis Radio City Casting Apr 5 2026, 10:14:17 AM
theatrekid3302 said: "Hey, does anyone have any updates on who’s going to be in the Radio City Les Mis production.
I am suspecting Lea Michele as Eponine or Fantine because she is leaving Chess in June and not in September with the rest of the cast. She did Les Mis at the Hollywood Bowl as Eponine and obviously made her Broadway debut as Young Cosette and Young Eponine in the original production. Eponine has always been a dream role of hers."

Just In Time 2.0 - Matthew Morrison Apr 2 2026, 11:19:53 AM
Would love to see MM in the show, but I'll miss him by a week, and will be seeing JJ as Bobby D. Saw JG twice in the show. Have always enjoyed seeing MM perform over the years - be in on the Broadway stage, or concert halls. Such a talent.

Max Von Essen and Mandy Gonzalez were pretty epic and though I solely went because the buzz was that it would be closing soon, I wanted to add it to my list of flop shows I’ve seen. Did not expect to LOVE it so much and the audience was there with me and “got” it and had a glorious time. I still remember every time the lyrics of “turn around” from “Total E

Lea Michele 54 Below Mar 25 2026, 12:20:02 PM
In August 2008, my friends and I saw Lea Michele perform at Mark's restaurant in West Hollywood. This was right after she was in "Les Miz" at The Hollywood Bowl a few weeks before. The space at Mark's was very, very intimate. Probably seated no more than 40 or so in the restaurant. It was a great evening.

It’s okay. I knew it might. I'll cope. I’m still gonna make the most of my time here and see shows I might otherwise have missed.
I still love Liza."
Exactly - enjoy your time in NYC. It's beyond your control, and Liza's health is the most important thing. Enjoy seeing your shows. <

Can we get MAME starring Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter now? Mar 17 2026, 05:01:17 PM
Jerry Herman said many times that he thought Catherine Zeta-Jones would make a wonderful Mame. I completely agree.
So many have said that the lyrics and book scenes are "dated," and the same can be said for so many classic musicals. "Carousel" with domestic violence, "Oklahoma" with Curley encouraging Judd to kill himself, "The King & I" with slavery and beating women, "South Pacific" with racism. The list goes
