Howdy folks. Saw Spring Awakening last night. Groff did the first act, and then for the second act Melchior was performed by Jesse Swenson (who was good.) I'm just curious to see if anyone knows what happened - there was no obvious injury, so either they covered something really well or he just got sick or something.
Anyways, show was good (second time I've seen it), and I got a good ticket at TKTS around 4:00, for anyone interested.
FOA- I almost just spewed water all over my computer.

awww poor thing. Throwing up is no fun I hope he feels better soon!
just for the record, if I was a Broadway actor I'd be SO scared to go on if I was throwing up. Because like.. it can come on really quickly, and then to be onstage and have to throw up? *shudders*
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
A friend walked by the theater this afternoon before the matinee and told me Jesse Swenson was on as Melchior (Doyle was playing one of the other boys this afternoon) today.
So, if he was ill, he apparently is still too ill to perform.
im going next fri night ( stage seats) and i'm hoping groff and lea are in..but if i had to c an understudy for melchoir or wendla..i would pick matt doyle or any of the wendla understudies for wendla
