That's awesome that Spencer Liff's work was recognized.
And I'm also happy to see Rob Ashford getting more and more recognition for his wonderful choreography!
Happy for Ashford, He deserved the Tony last year for Curtains. So maybe this year for Cry-Baby. And looking forward to his Boston debut of Brigadoon, YEAH!!!!!

So did Rob Ashord win this award over Andy for IN THE HEIGHTS? I thought maybe It was not eligible this year. But I guess since Karen Olivo won it was right? Just thought I would ask so I could know for sure.
Yep, Rob won over Andy.
Pretty absurd if you ask me.

What's absurd about it? Ashford's work is fantastic and well deserved. Andy did a nice job as well, as they both helped propel the story through dance. Ashord just seems to have more of the traditional Broadway pizazz and panache, whereas Andy dealt with more urban themes that don't particularly lend themselves as easily to the genre.
So happy for Karen Olivo, she deserved something for her work in In the Heights
