LOL, love it TinyMagic2, and a lot of it is só true.
Speaking of turn-tables, over here in the Netherlands they're for sale again, with an USB-thingie at that, so that you can play ánd re-record your albums to a CD. Guess you've got them too in your shops??
As for Betamax, my first video-recorder was a Betamax, do I wish there would be a way to transfer all my Betamx tapes to CD. (VHS seems to be no problem, darn)

Yes...they do have them here.
I have to admit: I found this list unremarkable for the most point. Certainly, SOME gave me pause for thought...but most rather gave me a "So?" reaction.

Super 8. I used to get so excited when I could get a Super 8 movie. The Poseidon Adventure was a favorite.

To be fair, I don't think this one is like some others (which I object to) that do seem to be mourning the loss the good-ole-days stuff in. This one seemed to just be pointing out the fading of certain things.

I'll tell you what happened to diving boards, Reg. The insurance companies don't want to insure you if you have a pool with a diving board. We had to take ours off in order to get coverage that didn't cost a fortune.

Hi Joe,
I don't think that this list of 100 things means to mourn about all the "old" things kids nowadays will never know about.
IMHO it's more of a looking back at hów fast things have changed over the past 50 years.
I'm more than happy with all the gadgets that are invented to "enrich" our lives.
Mind you, that doesn't mean I see myself as a dramaqueen when I look back on some things from the past in a melancholic way.
Nowadays we seem to not even blink an eye anymore at whatever new stuff which gets invented, where as in the 50s and 60s I (and many with me) could get so excited about a new invention.
I think I miss that excitement sometimes.

Some of the things on this list were well before my time and I'm closer to 30 than childhood.
