I saw this tonight and now love Darlene Love more than I knew I loved her before.
There were lots of interesting tidbits I learned about the recording industry and found myself getting wrapped up in the different women's stories.
I didn't know who either Merry Clayton or Lisa Fischer before this movie, and now I want to look into getting some of their music. Fischer has an insane voice- totally up there with Whitney and the other greats.
There's nothing deeply profound here, but that's alright. It was a nice documentary celebrating the lives and careers of some very special women.

Who's your friend in it?
The one who broke my heart was Claudia Lennear.

Charlo Crossley. She's the oldest living Harlette and she was MotorMouth on the first national of Hairspray.

Cool Diva! One thing that did impress me was the excellent condition of their present-day voices. After more singing than most do in several lifetimes and it's all still intact.
Jordan, I liked this more than The Bling Ring, but I must admit that BR has grown fonder in my memory after a week's passage despite my initial blasé response.

I saw the film yesterday. I've been a Darlene Love fan since the girl group days but I didn't know any of the other women, so the film was interesting to me. Also, the music was great - my biggest rock icons.
I really loved Lisa Fisher.
I kind of almost dozed off a couple of times, but all in all, a good documentary.

I want to see this. The trailer looked great.
I know Merry Clayton's song "Yes" from the soundtrack to Dirty Dancing. And Darlene Love's "Today I Met the Boy I'm Gonna Marry" and "He's a Rebel" with The Crystals.
I saw on Wikipedia that Gloria Jones is in this. I love her original "Tainted Love" (I would love to karaoke it, but no KJ ever has it!).

I <3 Claudia Lennear's song from the Klute soundtrack.
