Posted: 5/6/06 at 12:03pmI've gotten as of today, 3 friend requests from Susan Egan to become one her MySpace friends, the problem is, I'm already one of her friends and have been since she was in the lower hundreds. Is this happening to anyone else or just me?

I only friend people I actually know, and as I don't know Ms. Egan, it's not happening to me.
Sounds like some kind of glitch though.

A while ago, she posted something apologizing for a problem she was having; I don't remember if she said why it actually happened, and if she did what it was (a MySpace problem or something she did wrong) but friend requests were getting sent to people who were already on her friends list.
I guess it's the same thing.

Posted: 5/6/06 at 12:30pmI don't think it's a glitch Hester. I've now gotten 7 friend requests from her (and I'm also one of her "friends"). It seems that she'll join a Myspace group and then send "friend request" to then everyone in the group.

I know she went through Manoel Felciano's friends list, and sent friend requests to everyone there.
She's so eager to make new friends. Like the new kid at school.

Not really. There are some that have links to their MySpace pages on their websites, so you can be sure those are real. Some, like Idina Menzel, have over 20, so who knows if any of them are real. There are also some, like Daphne Rubin-Vega's, that are run by someone else with Daphne's involement.
There's a message on the main board with one's that are real and one's that people think are fake.

No real way to verify.
A lot of times fakes are fairly obvious. If the 30-something male actor writes like a 13 y/o fangirl, it probably is. Also check out the photos...photos that are candids are more likely to be real than when all the user photos are headshots and publicity photos (though that isn't always the case).
Otherwise, if you have another method to get a hold of the actor, then just ask. They're usually more than happy to confirm or deny.
