It's no surprise that someone like 50 Cent is attached to this. But it's upsetting that Mary J is. I am a big Mary J fan, and I really believed her about turning her life around, etc, etc. Apparently she might have used it for anti-aging. Her rep claims she never used steroids, but the reports state they were shipped to her and the other rappers.

If all the artists that have won Grammys who have also used drugs were to give them back (the Grammys I mean, not the drugs) then the only one who'd have one is Mitch Miller.

Well anyway, 50 Cent has zero Grammys. Timbaland only has one because he produced a dance record for Justin Timberlake. Mary J. does have 6 Grammys though.

robbiej: My thought exactly! Do you know how many B'way singers get steroid shots when they lose their voices? I know tons of singers in LA who do it all the time. I never have had to, but I have been on prednisone in pill form a couple of times for my asthma (When I've had bronchitis or other such complications.)

Gonna read the article, now...

Erica,

Ahh...the pill form of prednisone (I spelled it wrong initally!). I only took it once, I believe. I was doing a proudction of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE that was brutual on my voice in a theatre with HIDEOUS air-conditioning. Totally lost my voice and needed that magical, but dangerous, little pills!

Yeah, I don't like 'em. I haven't had to take any in quite a while...the last time was when I had to go the ER for my asthma in 2005, and then they only gave me 3 pills to get through the next few days. But once, back in 2003, I had to be on them for almost a month (because of bronchitis), and it was AWFUL. I felt cranky and just sort of generally annoyed all the time, and I gained weight, etc. Yuck. So, they're not tempting for me, at least.

Actually...I just remembered that I was on a second round back in June...for a very intense sinus infection. Did me no good. But I could hit a 'C' with no problem!

I have friends who pop them like Tic Tacs.

To be clear, robbiej and I are talking about our experiences with Prednisone, not Human Growth Hormone, which is what these "stars" have allegedly been taking.
