This may very well be the first animated film that I go see this year. Looks very imaginative and different. The trailer just completely sucked me in.
The movie stars Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, and Jennifer Connelly.

Posted: 1/4/09 at 12:45amI don't know how I haven't heard of this until now. It looks crazy, but I definitely want to see it. I love that he's changing up some of his regulars, although I know he's working with Crispin Glover on Alice in Wonderful, and he's worked with Martin Landau on Ed Wood.

Well, at the beginning of the trailer you hear the man's voice say "So 9, I am creating you." Later on in the trailer you see a hologram of an old man. He may have named him that because 9 is his creation. The other characters also have numbers as their names. But that's just my opinion on the whole matter. You can also check out the short film the movie is based on from youtube. It was nominated for an Academy Award.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Like I posted in the last thread on this film, everyone absolutely needs to see the original animation short! It's absolutely breathtaking.

Posted: 1/4/09 at 1:49pmWell, The Nightmare Before Christmas was really Tim Burton's baby. This movie is the brainchild of Shane Acker, who wrote and created the original animated short. So hopefully he'll get more credit than poor Henry Selick for Nightmare Before Christmas.
