This is in no way intended to sound cruel, but ever since the passing of Jett Travolta I've been seeing some quotes on T.V. shows that say things like "Heaven has a new angel".

Now I don't know about Jett, but his Dad John is a Devout follower of Scientology.

So does that statement necessarily mean anything to him...Do they believe in heaven...at least heaven in the Christian sense?

Perceptive as always MTV. Scientolgists don't believe in Heaven as such but I think people are reluctant to say "The White Light has absorbed another Thetan." It just sounds kinda gay.

It's doesn't even make sense in any Christian way. People don't become angels when they die, according to that particular myth.

I am kinda curious about this myself. I mean I have read a fair amount on the cult and know a fair amount about it. But, I never read of anything that even talked about death or the afterlife.

My dad who is a doctor is convinced that if Scientology actually allowed most modern medication to cure illnesses then Jett would still be alive.

There's no cure for seizures. The family claims they discontinued the meds because they no longer worked. It happens. My friend had to wean her son off them a few months back. I honestly don't think Scientology had anything to do with the death. There's no great mystery. Seizures often accompany autism around Jett's age.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

It's weird how many Scientologist celebs have found themselves in front of cameras this week praising the Travoltas as "doting parents." Talking points, much?

You can be a scientologist and a Christian at once.

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

If one medication doesn't work, there are usually lots of others that can be tried until the right one is found. Just sayin'

Exactly Jane,

Also if I recall, there was some talk of if Jett had Autism or not. I do think that he was on the autism spectrum. But, Scientology doesn't consider people with autism or other developmental illnesses to be real people. They consider them to be lesser beings.

Even if he wasn't on the spectrum, Scientology prefers that people with any sort of illness are healed with their own method of healing someone rather them conventional modern medication.

My mother swears that she read many years ago that John Travolta was involved with a rich millionaire, much older than him. (I can't remember his name) The millionaire paid for all of John's flying lessons, and bought him his first plane. Did anyone else ever hear about this? She's been saying this since the 80's.
