Posted: 9/12/05 at 12:15amDAME, I watched the trailer and the movie looks impressive. But that VOICE drove me crazy! I know that's how Capote really sounded, but I can't imagine listening to that voice for 2 hours! Did you find that it was annoying at first but then went you got used to it, or did it never bother you at all?

Posted: 9/12/05 at 12:19ammikem; I admit that the voice may be a bit much when listening to it in the trailer but give the movie a chance... he will blow your MIND

My only reservation is the accent--especially since I grew up watching Murder By Death! Right, DAME?
"Oh, that's tacky...that's really tacky."
Truman: I'm the greatest! I'm number one!
Peter: You look more like number two, if you know what i mean.
Maggie: What does he mean, Miss Tessmacher?
Eileen: I'll tell you later, it's disgusting.

Posted: 9/16/05 at 3:13pmIsn't there another movie about Capote that takes place at the same time with Sandra Bullock as Harper Lee? Or am I confused?
#38re: A early OSCAR prediction from DAME
Posted: 9/16/05 at 3:28pmI had no problem with his accent. None.

Posted: 9/16/05 at 5:30pmprobably will--it sounds much more interesting that a straight-forward biopic, a genre i could do without, but this seems to take a new point of view...it also looks beautifully shot.

Wow this movie and Hoffman's performance both look amazing. I'm sure he'll win this year. Theres not much male competition this year.
bumping...

Posted: 10/15/05 at 12:13pmWhile I still believe Hoffmans performance will walk away with most awards.. I just saw two performances that give him some competition. One was David Srtaitharn ( sp?) in Goodnight and goodluck and the other one was Nathan Lane in Producers ( which by the way.. is FABULOUS)
