If we could graph how many people register BWW per week, I think that would have been a VERY LARGE influx during the first week of January.
Now, we all know why.
So, aside from that, why did you join BWW? Did you see a post to which you just HAD TO respond, a friend make you, etc?

All That Chat banned me for starting a poll. (They're a tad on the anal-retentive side over there.)
I did a Google and BWW came up.
That was 3,000+ posts ago.
i just remember randomly coming across this site and reading the posts for a while. Than i finally joined in december and have not stopped! :)
mine was the radio
then I joined a week later

I wanted info on BARE and did a google search. I found the BARE cast thread and then expanded to all of BWW.
What causes the big influx the 1st week of Jan? Because of the holidays?
I joined because I wanted to be somewhere where I can I talk about musicals freely and have people understand what I am talking about. I mean, I am a straight boy living in the south. Not too many people around here interested in musical theatre.
Originally I came across it in a google search, but at the time wasn't quite interested in boards. Always thought they weren't that great. Then Lael told me about it again so I tried it out, and now... I can't get enough of it. It's so great to find a community of people who share your same passion for musical/non-musical theatre.
I was looking for some info, of all things, about "Wicked", and came across a thread here. Started reading... then HAD to respond... and here I am.
I just wanted a place where I could talk to a wide variety of people from all over the country about theatre, and not just my own personal theatre circle. Now I'm addicted.
I'm a product of the January influx. We should call it the "Braodway Boom".
I think I joined because a friend referred me - I was pissed b/c ATC wasn't letting me join, and he told me about BWW. Ah, so long ago - and here I am!
I was googling something, and I ended up with a BWW link. I started to read some threads, and I was like "hey, this might be fun." So, after a week or two, I mustered up the courage and joined. I just wanted a place where I could chat about what I love.
I was googling "RENT" and the link came up for RENT under the Broadway Shows, then I joined because this board seemed really fun.
I think I was looking for internet radio stations and came across BWW by sheer luck. I lurked for a while and decided to join last year.
John Tartaglia was on the radio when I first tuned it
have been here ever since
I used to read the articles and then found the Boards and lurked for a while... then I joined and now I'm addicted like the rest of you

I have no idea what you're referring to - care to explain?
I was googling "Green Green Dress" for some reason, and it came up on a topic of "bad songs in good scores" and thats how I found the board. I joined because I wanted to hear other peoples opinions of theater, because its something to do after school, and its hard to get theater news in Detroit without websites like this one.

I thought there was an influx in June. :)
I'll give you a hint about Jan guys:
1st green girl goodbye
Was there really an influx? I didn't realize...I ignore the main board, for the most part.

i joined with a different name a long time ago to vote on something. i dont remember why i registered this name...
I joined after being a window shopper for a while. I do not recall my first post, though. I left All That Chat after the conversation turned into a string of extemely personal attacks on a friend of mine. I prefer the humour around here.
I honestly don't remember how I found this site, but I roamed for a while (3 or 4 months) before deciding to join (and, lose all of my free time in the process)
