Found this on OUTSPORTS of all places...but it's a pretty damned good letter and doesn't let anyone off the hook. It's the first message in the thread.
Apology
That is a great letter.
Thanks.

I wish every Republican in this country would write a letter like that!
But yeah it's too little too late!!
The apology was great, it's always nice to see someone who has the ability to take a look at things and say hmmmm I was wrong. Which is something that seems to be sorely lacking in the current administration.
But, I think what's most important in the letter, is that we all need to take control of our country's destiny and demand some leadership from our current elected officials, and if they can't provide it then it's up to us to make sure they are no longer in the position to lead. We need to start ignoring the sound-bites,talking heads, and pundits and start looking at the real issues that we're facing and truly scrutinize every candidate and their beliefs and what they truly stand for.
Ok whats the big deal he only has two more years live with it.
live with it?
what world do YOU live in?
I would like to see this man removed before he does further damage to this country and world.
until then, I and others will freely dissent. if that's ok with you.
Are you currently serving in the US Military. If not, please volunteer to do so.
And then tell me how short two and a half years is.
I am not in the US Military but my dad was and my uncle is and my dad said if he wasn't as old as he is that he would still ne in, both my dad and my unlce are proud to and were proud to be a part of the US Military.

Nicely put, justaguy.
jerseyboyslover, we'll be living with the mistakes of this administration long after they leave office.
*dances around in her Don't Blame Me, I Voted For John Kerry t-shirt*
Okay, so I didn't vote for John Kerry. I'm too young. But I campaigned for him--I even held a rally for high school students for John Kerry. And PA was a blue state, so at least I can be proud of that.
It makes me really happy to see people like this who are starting to come around to this man's mistakes. I only hope people like my grandmother's husband (step-grandfather? I dunno) can do the same. He was a military man and he is practically IN LOVE with Bush. We have debates about it all the time. Even with the whole wire-tapping thing back in December he was saying how it was important for us to give up some of our civil liberties for safety's sake. I was shocked that people were dumb enough to accept this B.S.
I see a bit of a national revolution ahead. People are slowly but surely realizing how dumb Dubya is and maybe there will be a huge turn-around in '08, if not sooner!
Look guys I dont really care who won or who lost I cant even vote I was just saying what I thought.
"Look guys I dont really care who won or who lost I cant even vote I was just saying what I thought."
Hopefully, by the time you are old enough to vote your apathy will have given way to an interest in where this country is headed.
I will vote republican.
Everyone makes mistakes including the President we are all humen.
Yes, but our presidnet is in charge of an entire COUNTRY. If he makes a decision it should be re-evaluated over and over again...before it goes into effect. e's made stupid decisions for years and continues to get away with it becuase most of the country isn't paying any attention. Kind of like you.
But see I dont have to pay attention, I dont pay taxes and I cant vote.
Every President has done something stupid.
"But see I dont have to pay attention, I dont pay taxes and I cant vote."
So, you think suddenly, at the age of 18 you will be endowed will all the knowledge you need to cast an informed vote? Why wait until your of voting age to learn about the issues?
But see, you will inherit this country someday and do you want it to be screwed up?
Look, do you know how close this President got to killing us all? Do you really want to die? Do you care about your life and the lives of the people around you? I mean, this isn't just child's play--we live in a democracy and that means that each and every person, able to vote or not, has a responsibility to their country to be informed and to make the right decisions. Because you might not be able to vote now, but you're going to be able to someday. And when that time comes, it's not an easy decision to make. You're putting your entire LIFE in the hands of the person you vote for so you better give a damn about what you're going to do.
Yes, every President has made mistakes. But no Presidnet has ever tricked, oppressed, or completely stupefied his country like George W. Bush. He's trying to oppress his own people in the constitituion by not allowing gay marriage. He's spying on you, invading your privacy. He's putting innocent troops into a completely unjustified war. He's made so many countless mistakes and it's all a result of people who said "I don't care, it's just politics." Please, for everyone else in the country, care about politics and care about what's going on in the government. It's not just a game. It's really really important.

I said I didnt have to pay attention not that I dont.

You'll have to excuse me, but with quotes like that, it fairly easy to come to the conclusion that you have been paying little if any attention to anything.
"Look, do you know how close this President got to killing us all? Do you really want to die? Do you care about your life and the lives of the people around you? I mean"
Hmm How did he almost kill us all?
"He's spying on you, invading your privacy"
I am not a terrorist and I am not doing anything wrong.
"You're putting your entire LIFE in the hands of the person you vote for so you better give a damn about what you're going to do."
I know what I am going to do. oh yeah and if i was of the age I would be in the US Military.
"You'll have to excuse me, but with quotes like that, it fairly easy to come to the conclusion that you have been paying little if any attention to anything."
You want to take a guess how old I am?
No, you're not a terrorist. But he's still spying on you, and everyone else. That's what I'm trying to say.
I'd guess tha't you are about 16.
