"You want to take a guess how old I am?"
Why would I? You're obviously old enough to enter into this conversation. Which is all that matters to me. Age is only relative when you want to use it as a defense for the things you say.

I cant say that I am a Republican some of my views are and some of them aren't.
Like this war, ok I have nothing wrong with it, it needed to happen, no, no war needs to happen but if it has to then lets do it. Hello the terrorist hit us first and we hit back what should we have done, let them get away with it and maybe do it again?

Did you even read the letter that was the subject of this thread?
Iraq had NOTHING to do with the 9/11 attacks. NOTHING. Let me say it one more time NOTHING. The war is not about terrorism, nor is about WMD's. Those are the lies that have been told over and over again by this administration to garner support for the war. READ THE LETTER.

See, with the non-capitalization and the spelling and grammar I couldn't even read that paragraph about the war...I couldn't understand it.
But you're right about one thing...no war ever needs to happen.

Yes I read the letter.
We are in a war because there were 14 U.N. reselutions for Iraq to stop producing WMD's and to destroy the one he had and used on his own people ...over 100,000 found in mass graves...he used them in the war with Iran and was told to stop by the U.N no less than 14 times...he said NO...so we stopped him...Anything else you want to know?

wait. i'm sorry. I can't keep up with your (or the GOP) reasons for Iraq.
first, u said it was for the war on terrorism.
and when it was reminded to u that iraq was not a part of that, u switched to other reasons.
do yourself a favor: quit regurgitating what mommy and daddy and fox news spit out at u. u are too old for that. do some thinking on ur own. for yourself.

The Iran-Iraq War was from 1980 - 1988. The US invasion took place in March of 2003...that's 15 years later!! Somehow I find a fairly large disconnect between the 2 events. Plus inbetween there was that little conflict known as the GULF WAR also run by a President Bush. Why weren't the WMD's destroyed then?
The UN also sent inspectors into Iraq to search for WMD's and found none prior to the US Invasion.
And now you're changing your tune, from it was the terrorist that we needed to round up. To Sadam had to pay for a the crimes against his own people. Your story keeps changing much like the current administrations.

Posted: 6/23/06 at 12:56pmThe WMD were used to kill the people of Iran and he used them against his own people... it was not job of the U.N. to find the WMD's it was Iraq's job to destroy them and they did not... He was given 14 chances to do so and he kickes the inspectors out...and Yes we have found WMDs

"Yes we have found WMDs"
No, we have NOT.
The Pentagon said yesterday that those WMDs Rick Santorum and Fox News said were found were old, expired chemical weapons that posed no threat. They were NOT the weapons of mass destruction we went to war for.

OH MY...please don't tell me your gonna use Rick Santorum's discovery of WMD's. Even the Defense Department says that those were not the WMD's that were supposedly under Iraq's control at the time of the US invasion. The WMD's that were found were leftovers from the Iran-Iraq war that ended 15 years earlier. There's still no sign of the WMD's that we were supposed to have found when we invaded.
And if it wasn't the UN's job to find WMD's why were the UN inspectors sent in in the first place?
But back, to an earlier point. What reason are you choosing for the US invasion of Iraq? WMD's, Fighting Terrorist,Punishing Sadam for crimes against his own people, or all of the above?

ohmygod, are we sure Jerseyboyslover isn't just George W. bush posing as a 15-year-old girl?
i mean, could the Bush administration milk 9/11, terrorism, and WMDs anymore/ They're reiging over us with fear and lies. Learn to think for yourself! Leanr ot realize when someone is lying to you! You can usuallly tell when they're changing their stories constantly.

Posted: 6/23/06 at 1:06pmIf Sadam had these and they were of no use to him then why would he risk a war to hide them when all he had to do is to declair he had them and allow the inspections and there would have been no war.
#45re: A letter of Apology from a Bush Voter
Posted: 6/23/06 at 1:14pm
You'd have ask Sadam that one. I can't speak for him.
But at a time when the administration is looking for anything that it can to bolster support for the war. When the Department of Defense says these were not the WMD's they were looking for you have to question if they ever existed at all.

Oh, I miss papa in these times. At lest he made sense.
"If Sadam had these and they were of no use to him then why would he risk a war to hide them when all he had to do is to declair he had them and allow the inspections and there would have been no war."
Saddam was allowing inspectors in prior to the invasion by Shrub and his merry band of idiots, but Bush never intended to let inspections work. He had already made his mind up to go to war. Read the Downing Street Memo. Read any of the historical context of the run-up to war. The decision was made, all the Bush Administration was doing was trying to sell us a justification for the decision.
Bush was going to go to war no matter what, not because Saddam was a bad man, but because he and his Neocon buddies are using Iraq to test its theory on how to Democratize the middle east. They believe Iraq was the perfect test case to put a Democracy in the middle east - regardless of whether or not this is what the Iraqi people wanted.
And, the US embraces bad men who do our bidding all the time - look at Pakistan, look at Saudi Arabia, look at all of the times the US (under both Democrat and Republican Administrators) have proppped up military dictatorships solely because it served our international interests.
Please do some research before you post. Your youth and ignorance are starting to hurt my soul.

Posted: 6/23/06 at 1:22pmWere there WMDs...Are you kidding??? over 100,000 people found in mass graves...How many would it take to be MASS if 100,000 dead is not mass destruction...Ask the people of Iran if Iraq had WMDs see what they think...Ask Bill Clinton...John Kerry... Ted Kennedy...They said he had them...They were right...So was President George W. Bush...Leader of the free WORLD!!! How many times has the USA been hit sense 9/11...let me think????? ZERO...Thank you Mr. President

Oh sweetie...you're confused. That's GENOCIDE. That doesn't signify WMDs.
ETA: While we're on the subject, has anyone seen that documentary...I believe it's called "Spare Change"? It suggests that 9/11 was simply a setup by the Bush administration to get people to go along with their decisions.
Well, whether or not it's true, I certianly can see the appeal of Bush doing that.
