Today's poll isn't anti bammy or hil. It's just an indicator of what's happening while we all bitch at one another:
Just five months ago — before either party had winnowed its field — the survey showed people preferred sending an unnamed Democrat over a Republican to the White House by 13 percentage points.
By tracking the same group of roughly 2,000 people throughout the campaign, the AP-Yahoo poll can gauge how individual views are evolving. What's clear is that some Republican-leaning voters who backed Bush in 2004 but lost enthusiasm for him are returning to the GOP fold _ along with a smaller but significant number of Democrats who have come to dislike their party's two contenders.
A house divided will not stand
That's still a house divided, PJ.
The Dems screwed up, big time.
Why would I want something that would sober me up? silly talk

Not only a house divided, but the whole Florida/Michigan mess. Howard Dean should be sent packing.
I do too. Politics makes VERY strange bedfellows.
Well, hell, for the last couple of months you and I have been on the same side as papa and goth (to an extent). That's terrifying.
I'm just praying that it's because papa is genuine enough to actually want the best person as the Dem nominee--not the easier to beat person. lol

One of those rare LOL moments here . . .
jerby, i have no horse in the dem race. i'm merely trying to stir up as much trouble as is humanly possible.
that said, i could stomach a hillary presidency a lot easier than i could a bammy one.

Al Gore is completely unfit to be president. HE IS NOT WEARING A FLAG PIN!
and i think we all know where he stands on weathermen.
Every time I read polls like this, I shake my head even more, because the Democratic party has screwed this up so badly. They should be waltzing into the White House, and should defeat any Republican candidate by about 10 points.
Why all the concern? Clinton is electable, Obama told us so in the debate. Obama is electable too, because Clinton said so. They wouldn't lie, would they?

here's the graphic of the poll:
thanks munk.
You would think that after the DISASTER that was the 2004 election ("Anyone But Bush" does NOT a campaign strategy make), the Dems would get their act together. Not so, apparently!
It shoudl have been a slam -dunk that brought us 16+ years of Democratic presidencies, going from 8 years of Clinton/Obama to 8 years of Obama/Feingold and onward.
Unfortunately, the Obama supporters' irrational hatred of Bill and Hillary Clinton became more important to them than the idea of putting Democrats into the White House and they insisted on pushing the pipe dream of a candidate who never stood a chance in the General Election.

it should never have been a slam-dunk that brought us 12+ years of republican presidencies, going from 4 years of mccain/crist to 8 years of crist/jindal and onward.
fortunately, the democrats' irrational hatred of their own candidates became more important to them than the idea of putting democrats into the white house and they insisted on tearing each other to shreds before splitting the party in two at the bloody and violent denver convention and serving up a candidate to damaged to even compete in the general election.
Do you honestly think Obama/Richardson would ever have prevailed in a General Election?
Seriously?

What irrational hatred of Obama? The way we're always calling him a bitch and a whore, and sometimes a dyke? The way we call out him and him only for being cold and calculating, for stopping at nothing in his grab for the White House? Joe, baby, you know I love you, but let's be real here.
i blame al gore.

I've never called either candidate a bitch whore or dyke- I do think it's a bit (bit?) absurd to say that Hillary Clinton had some sort of divine right to be president till Barack Obama ruined everything. I know it's hard to believe in the current climate but I was a solid HRC supporter right off the starting block. Then Obama emerged and I found him to be a much more compelling candidate. Not because I'm naive or elitist or a Hillary hater, but because I looked at two candidates and chose the one I preferred. I think Obama is an excellent candidate and would make a wonderful president. Frankly I think both Democrats are tainted now and I do fully expect McCain to ride to victory.
