re: A request to the moderators

Definetly don't see the big deal here. Wow. Let's make a fuss over something so trivial. I mean, seriously, are there no better things to think/complain about than signatures? Seriously, grow up.

re: A request to the moderators

Apparently, some people just have way too much free time on their hands. That, and the fact that people have been blowing perfumed smoke up their ass for so long, they think they own the board, and can tell everyone else what to do, and how to do it.

re: A request to the moderators

There are much more obnoxious things in people's signatures than scrolling text, like using it for a billboard for free iPod sites, myspace/livejournal/xanga links, rainbow-colored quotes, things I can't even name because I JUST SCROLL BY. If it bothers you that much, just scroll past it.

If you're just searching for reasons to complain about other posters that you have a notorious vengeance against, than congratulations, you've achieved your goal.

a few things:

Etoile, are you using the third person to emulate Wax Lion?

Mr. Midwest, that was one of the funniest posts i've read in years.

Two words as to the thread's topic: Tempest. Teapot.

And as i've said to one other poster, just prior to be diagnosed by them with a serious psychotic disorder (not that it was misdiagnosis---yes, it was---no, it wasn't---shut up, Sybil!):

"i'll take control issues for $500, Alex."
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."

Namo,
Kevin once kissed me by mistake.
About 8 years ago I was walking on Columbus Avenue and so was Phoebe and Kevin Kline.
Phoebe stopped to look in a store window and Kevin did not realize it. I suddenly felt an arm around my neck and turned and Kevin kissed me.
He said "Oh sorry, thought you were my wife." I said I am sorry I am not your wife.
Funny. It made my day and I teased him about it at the Drama Desk awards last year.

re: A request to the moderators

Corine that's one of your most artless threadjacks ever.

Again, I made a suggestion about something that annoyed me. Do you think if the moderators didn't care that certain posters were sabotaging the design of the site that they would have listened to me? You give me too much power.

I found something ugly and distracting and annoying. Obviously I am not the only one who did.

Ashley, among others, I'm afraid YOU'RE the one who has to grow up a bit on this one. As well as the person who banished himself over what Tx called a tempest in a teapot.

I'll now suggest a betting pool on when Marquise makes his triumphant return. Perhaps the moderators will take my advice and do THAT too.

re: a request to the moderators

i would like to weigh in on the scrolling siggie lines.

i have not seen them. thus i blame them retroactively for any vision problems that i have, may have or which might be passed on to any of my progeny.

it is clear that they are the bane of modern internet existence and as such should be banned, folded, spindled and mutilated (not necessarily in that order). they are responsible for toilet paper rolls that hang the wrong way, 71.825% of all typographical errors and steven spielberg movies.

had i seen them, i surely would have been revolted. unless i wasn't. but i probably would have been.

now, who's got the perfumed smoke?

re: a request to the moderators

So this is what happens when I actually do work at work...

Anyway, I think that signatures should be limited or eliminated altogether. If you have links you want to promote, you can put them in your profile. The board is supposed to be about discussion, not who can do the most with HTML tags. Gigantic signatures distract from the main purpose of the board. And speaking as someone with bad eyes, scrolling and overly colorful text actually hurt me. Eye strain is painful.

See Plum, we do see eye-to-strained-eye on many an issue.

(And Liam, you really should start your own blog somewhere to practice your html tags. The day you futzed with this site's background colors was BEYOND the pale.)
