Yeah, I'm sure it's on AFI's website...I'm watching it.

As much as I disliked the movie, I'm surprised "I'm the king of the world" was 100...I mean, just for the schtick factor, you'd think it would have made it higher up than that...not that I'm complaining!

ETA: "STELLLLLAAAAAAA!!!"
Edited again, because I was totally off on that one! Oops!

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I know, Seymour! As soon as they started showing a clip from The Graduate, I was trying to think of another line that they might have been able to use. I mean that should have been in the top 20!!! Come on, people!!!

You know TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is in there somewhere.

But...I thought AFI already did the 100 Top Movie Quotes???

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

"Plastics" higher than ""Mrs Robinson, you're trying to seduce me"?!?!?! This can't be in any particular order.

I hope it's "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."
Or maybe it will be "Here's lookin' at you, kid."

She is a genius!

Huh? Am I hearing this correctly? That line from NETWORK is higher rated than "There's no place like home" from THE WIZARD OF OZ?

What is truly a shame is that I have only seen like 10 of these 100 films.

I have been meaning to see DOG DAY AFTERNOON for the LONGEST time, now.

I also gotta check out THE GODFATHER and THE GODFATHER, PART II.

And CASABLANCA and GONE WITH THE WIND.

And DEAD POET'S SOCIETY and WHEN HARRY MET SALLY.

And AUNTIE MAME and SUNSET BLVD.

And WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.

I have no interest in any of the James Bond films...
