Oh, I posted about liking the old SNL shows and not caring for the new ones and some newbie began to respond to me in a highly disrespectful manner and made some very un-subtle personal attacks directed towards me and gays.
Yep, I think that about sums it up.

Thanks for posting, etoile.
Did you know that "Something Different" is the name of the Cafe at the Airport in Beverly, MA?

Are you interested in knowing if I know or whether I care to know?
I'm not interested in silly games, trivia or otherwise.
it is!? Now I can take the survey on the Ebonic/Tiff/Nia Random thread! I know a useless fact! yay!
THANKS for posting again, Etoile!
I apologize in advance in case you don't care--but there's a whole web-site devoted to "Silly Games":

You might want to check it out!

That poster was mostly objecting to your glorifying the old days and condemning all SNL shows since the 80's when, by your own account, you haven't actually watched the latter. (S)he was rude about it, but had a point.
Well I see YOUR point, Plum, I believe the "message" got lost in the way it was "delivered"--which is many times the case in Interpersonal Communications.

Which is why it's a smart idea to avoid being rude in general. It becomes all about the rudeness instead of whatever it was you were trying to say in the first place. Not that certain posters understand that, or seem to care.
g*dd*mn you plum! you motherf***ing sh*tbag c*cks*cker of a f***wad mean a** b*st*rd wh*rebait p*ssant son of a monkey faced camel lover and her syphillitic, two toothed, one-eyed humpback. how dare you disparage the one and only maryf***ingethel whose brilliance is evident here:

I Don't Know... Maybe I'm Getting Hyperctitical Since I Turned 30 , but it just seems like SOS around here.
Every day there's Trivial Pursuit, Morning Chuckles, and Motivators.
People kvetch about men or about the fact that their Mother thinks they're really gay.
Appreciation Threads--What's Your Favorite Irish Lullaby Sung in Blackface--after a while, it's all the same thing.
[I fully understand that I started one or two of those Threads myself.]
But what happened to the good old days of fun and excitment--like when TheGaIsSilent attacked me and the whole Board because I sent him a PM regarding Boobs' Breast Cancer Site?
Is anyone on the same page as me on this one?
and he/she/it accomplished this bit of comic brilliance despite being terminally brain damaged, dammit! you f***ing modernist, b*stard!!

I don't believe any messages get lost. But I am wondering just how some define rude. See, I find condescension rude. Wouldn't you agree, Mary_Ethel?

for that i apologize.
Hi, Papa!
Having a good day?--I am!!!
Etoile--I know that you're not into Trivia, but this MIGHT interest you, there's a song called: "Condescention"

Well, there was that one poster who told me to "go back to the midwest you stupid cowmilker"
and the one who threatened to come to my home and hurt me
other than that, this board's be fun
woah someone actually threatend you?
bs2b, per an Attorney if someone threatens you with physical harm over the Internet, that is CRIMINAL HARRASMENT--and he's represented someone in that precise situation.
Just something to think about...

Something I'm thinking about M_E is, why did you start this thread?
Well, Jose', there are a couple of times I felt as I've been abused by another BWW Member and was curious to know if others felt that way and how they handled it...
Then, as I stated in my initial post, the SNL Thread kinda pushed these questions to my main focus...

And what? No link to said attorney, Mary_Ethel?
etoile,
Do you know that 1776 was presented WITHOUT an Intermission? (I thought that WOULD interest you--after all, it's in your signature and all.)

Am I mistaken, M_E, that in the past you have recommended to others the click the "Report Abuse" button, or to report abuse directly to Rob? If I'm not, then I ask why would you not follow your own advice? What does it matter how others might react? One person's abuse is another person's adoration.
