Well, I just got done playing around of Tetris that went to level 10, huzzah for my 26,438 points.

Does anyone else have any great video game stories? Aside from Tetris, I suck at most video games. I'm notorious for my Nitendo "skills." *shudder*

I stink at video games. But I do have good times in Minesweeper:

Beginner: 3 seconds
Intermediate: 22 seconds
Expert: 75 seconds

Yes, I'm a geek.

Wow, I do enjoy a good game of minesweeper (and Tetris) but how in god's name do you do even the beginner mode in 3 seconds?
My best score ever was as a kid when the original Ms. Pac Man came out. I flipped the score counter, must have played for several hours on one game. I don't even remember what my final score would have been.

I'm not a video game person at all as I suck at almost everything, but I love the new Spider-Man 2 game...

I like Sims for my Xbox. I love video Games, but they're just too damn expensive.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Ooh, The Sims is always fun. I never had a console, though. Might explain my complete and utter lack of gaming skills.

And you can do Beginner's Minesweeper in 1 second if you have good luck- that is, if you click on the right place and it turns out all the mines are placed so no more clicks need to be made. It's only in Intermediate and Expert that skill rather than luck really factors into it.

I figured I would love The Sims, but I hated it. Go figure.

My video game passion is for sports games. Seeing as I cannot play sports (I'm a drama kid lol), I play video game sports. Safer that way, too...

I've been known to play NFL Madden 2005 for entire days, resting only for the essentials (lunch, dinner, bathroom and BWW lol)

I'm an RPG fan. I like games with stories. Final Fantasy all the way.

Broadway and Final Fantasy.

I'm the biggest dork ever.

not DIRECTLY a video game, but when Christmas shopping, I found a "board game" version of Tetris that was kind of cool.. it was built csort of like the Connect Four board game.

Board game Tetris? Sweet!

I shattered my record today. 46,966 points... Man, that game is addicting.

it was pretty sweet actually. you have all the different shaped blocks and you drop them from above, and there are these little levers at the side that pull outa row of blocks when it's full, so I am guessing that the cubes slide together to create tehs hapes or something. I might go back and get it next time I am there.

I'm a HUGE fan of Nintendo's LEGEND OF ZELDA series. I grew up with them, and they really are extremely well-crafted games. Each one kind of set a precedence in the industry. "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" still stands as one of the greatest games ever made.

Oh man, I played so many video games when I was younger. I was a big fan of any Mario games, going all the way back to regular Nintendo. And Mario Party for Nintendo 64. That's what you get when you grow up with two brothers though.

By the way, SMASH BROTHERS on the Gamecube is the MOST fun you could possibly have with friends around a TV. I don't know how many hours I've burned with my friends in our dorm's common room, playing that game. It's addictive and a delight.

My brothers love that game, but I've never found it fun. I do enjoy being Jigglypuff though...

Lol, Diva, I like doing that too.
GOD, I am such a dork, and I love it, lol. Where to begin on great video games... I guess I have to agree with Zoran, RPGs are the best. I think probably the best games I've ever played are Knights of the Old Republic, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and the Splinter Cell series. *sigh* I love video games...

...and I hate all the guys who give me crap at school just because they think they're better than girls at video games... what a bunch of ignorant, egotistical males. Oops. Sorry... didn't mean to vent. :)

Part of the reason I kind of turn away from video games is because they're so male-centric. All the girls are D-cup bimbos who exist to be sex objects, even when they kick ass, too. It's just tiring. I guess I never got into the whole shoot-this, kill-that frame of mind either. Bleh.

Plum, I completely agree.

For once can the girls kick ass without showing their belly button?

Yeah that's one of the negatives of video games. It's like seriously can't these people get real girlfriends, instead of an interactive one. I did a report on women in the media last year and I mentioned video games that disgrace women.

I think that what the whole thing shows is what the gaming industry targets... nerdy, young males who probably don't have much of a social life (I don't want to offend anyone, I'm just saying that this is the group the industry targets. In no way am I implying you are a young guy who doesn't have a social life :) I am not putting stereotype labels on things, or at least, I am doing it inadvertantly)
The industry thinks that by putting sex appeal in the games will attract this group.

Has anyone ever played Katamari Damency? It's so much fun. You push a sticky ball around and pick things up with it (trees, animals, people) and soon it gets big enough to pick up buildings and eventually land masses. It's oddly satisfying.
