Adolf Hitler will be getting his birthday cake from Wal-Mart this year.

What's also frightening is that they're not in some backwoods, hick area somewhere in the country or the midwest. They're in Raritan, New Jersey.

BUT - unless the store has a "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" credo, I'm not really sure I agree with it. I mean, I think that people should be able to get their medication without moral hassles from the pharmacist, so I kinda think douchebags should be able to get their cakes without a hassle, too.

I think it's slightly obnoxious for the original poster to insinuate that Wal-Mart would treat the situation any differently. Why not entitle the thread accurately and positively that Shop Rite REFUSES Adolf Hitler cake instead of trying to throw an innocent company (in this situation) under a bus?

But again, it's still a free speech issue. And this opens up the door for someone to say that the named Tawana or Chantelle offends them and that they don't want to put their name on the cake.

and I agree, the Wal-Mart crack was unfair

I believe that what's going on with this incident is exactly what they've been waiting for ever since the little blue burning cross popped up on their home pregnancy test.
