Hey gang,
I know there a lot of threads on this but the search function is not working properly and I can't find them.
Can you guys help me with some suggestions for cheap lodging in NYC (or if you can find an older thread link me)?
Thanks for your help!

First plug your travel dates into kayak.com and see what comes up. Kayak doesn't sell hotel rooms, it aggregates what's on the web, and will save you hours of looking because it finds the best prices on the web. You can also see if there are any specials on travelzoo.com.
I come to NYC a good deal and I am a huge fan of priceline and hotwire. If you are interested and checking those options out, pm me. I can walk you through it so you can see what is available and whether those options are for you.

Taz, honey....I'm pretty sure that if the BWW community knows you're coming to New York you will have numerous offers of free places to stay...

Taz, this is where I used to stay when I would visit. It's a no frills hotel but cheap, clean and safe and right next to the 81st street 1 train on the UWS.

I like The Travel Inn, it is not a gorgeous hotel but the rooms are clean suites and very nice and they have a nice pool and it is 125 a night. It is also walking distance to the theater district.

Taz, I am thinking of staying at the Pod Hotel in August, the single room price is cheap, the place looks clean and it has great reviews.
