Elphaba, from what I've read these episodes originally aired in color, is this true? They weren't properly preserved until Agnes Nixon was asked to expand AMC to a full hour in the mid-70's. She agreed to expand it only if ABC agreed to archive the show. As it turned out the original color episodes were so faded they opted to archive those on 16mm kinescopes.

Yes, AMC was in color from day one. It's crazy how I know Erica better than some of my own relatives.

Usnavi, do you watch OLTL? Robin Strasser (Dorian) sort of played the "original" Erica on Another World, a character called Rachel Davis. Agnes Nixon created Erica for her new show AMC but when NBC didn't pick up the show, she used her Erica prototype for AW's Rachel. Fans from back in the day say Erica was like Rachel lite at first. Robin created something very special.
