Although hard to imagine, Katy Perry becomes even MORE annoying

On Tuesday (June 16), an Australian newspaper reported that a local fashion designer, Katie Perry, had been served a cease-and-desist order from lawyers representing singer Katy Perry, aimed at stopping her from trademarking her birth name for a clothing label.

According to The Australian, Katie Perry started a "luxury loungewear" fashion line more than two years ago and had been selling her designs online and through local markets. Last week, she opened her first retail outlet in a suburb of Sydney and filed paperwork to trademark her name for both the store and her line.

That's when she received a letter from a Queensland-based legal firm, Fisher Adams Kelly, who were acting on behalf of Katy Perry, asking her to stop selling her line.
It's not even her REAL NAME

I have a friend who is a writer. He has the same name as the stage name of a somewhat famous musician. The musician has served him with a cease and desist letter ordering him to stop using his own name in print.

On the subject of suing, why has Zooey Deschanel not sued Katy Perry for trying to look like her? It's obvious Zooey works it better.

I find it ironic that she changed her last name because it's Hudson, and now she's asking someone else to stop using their birth name. It's nonsensical.

I had a classmate who shared a name with a well-known actor and he liked to joke that he was clearly the better of the two.

The title of this thread made me actually lol :) Katy Perry is kind of obnoxious. Is it true that she's dating Josh Groban? Because that would kind of lower my opinion of him...heh.
