Amazon "temp out of stock"/Cyber Monday Q?

There's a particular electronic item in a particular color I might buy that's out of stock right now on Amazon. How long would you estimate the back order time is, this time of yr? I'm not in THAT big of a hurry. Should I order?

Sure, go ahead. You can always cancel if you see something else before it ships.

I would go ahead and order it too. They usually get inventory back in pretty quickly.

The thing to make sure is that it is still an item being manufactured. I have run into that on Amazon.
