SERIOUS SPOILERS: A PLAY BY PLAY OF THE WHOLE EPISODE:















So the girls meet with an Australian tribe who danced for them, and Dionne, as usual was all "What the hey'll? That ain't dancing!" The point was that's how they tell their stories. So the challenege is for the girls to present their own stories in the same tribal manner with body painting and such. Renee did a good job and won, choosing Jaslene as her friend and they won pretty pearls.
Then Natasha got REALLY sick. The girls were all gonna go out but Natasha stayed home. At the club, they talk about Natasha and declare how they need to do their best just to send her home. Renee is being mean. They complain that they know nothing about her. So she must be fake. Or a liar. Or something bizarre like that. (Seriously, these women save for Jaslene are really mothers??)
Ok so the photo shoot. Natasha is even sicker than before. The photoshoot is they learn a tribal dance and have to portray the character and story through their photo. Renee does a good job, Dionne continues to glare, and Jaslene is as usual, the Cha-Cha diva. Natasha is not good. She's stiff, she's coughing all over the place, she looks as though she's about to pass out. It's clear she's miserable. She does her best I suppose but yikes.
Judging panel: Each of the girls are supposed to tell the judges who they think has the most potential and the least. All of the girls save for Natasha claim that Natasha is fake and there's something "not there" about her personality. She is the weakest one.
The judges are all "I think these girls are just jealous of Natasha"
Anyway. Photos: Jaslene is fierce, Renee is good, Natasha's is surprisingly not horrible, and Dionne is bland. Nothing new.
And then the eilimination. It's between Natasha and Dionne. They call Natasha's name, and Dionne just stands there as though she's about to lash out at someone. Natasha goes to hug her and Dionne doesn't even look at her.

thank you, the mallrat is gone! now if the chacha diva/janice look alike wins, i will have to swear off antp. i sort of want renee to win...but natasha is my guilty pleasure.

Ugh, Natasha should've gone home, she was awful! And I think Dionnne would've done well in the Covergirl shot, she's got a great smile and when she can really smile it's gorgeous.

Have you noticed that the girl who gets sick and pulls through always seems to win? Adrienne, Dani, Caridee...

I hate Jazzlyn. She is just gross and gangly. I l ke Dionne but it was her time to go. I think all the girls were ganging up on Natasha.

I used to feel that way too, Becoz, but Jaslene is really growing on me. She obviously wants it the most (especially after coming back for a second season), and she certainly knows what she's doing. I am worried about her accent, though. I don't mind Natasha, either...but I really, really don't want Renee to win.

Renee's the only one who doesn't seem to have anything working against her so far in the competition according to the judges. They think Jaslene only has one expression and Natasha couldn't pull it off when she was sick.

I'm a Jaslene fan, but I'm almost positive she won't win because of the above and the way she speaks.

I cannot stand Natasha. I really don't know why, but the way she stands there at judging, with her fake smile and eyes popping out of her head is so aggravating. I am really rooting for Jaslene, although I think her accent/vocabulary might affect her a little bit, unfortunately. Renee is gorgeous, but I think she is too 'run-of-the-mill' beautiful, like she just stepped out of an A&F catalog.
Anyway...go Jaslene!

Renee is also WAY too old to be starting a modeling career, a concern several of the judges have voiced. I think she's a very good model, but the other two girls have better chances of having substantial careers after the show.

I like Jaslene, but I liked Dionne too. She just couldn't deliver pics. I think Renee will be booted next and it'll be between Natasha and Jaslene. I hope so anyway--I think Renee is the one who's full of sh!t--doesn't she remember when all the girls hated HER?

Except that she has a tendency to look 10 years older than the other girls. I haven't noticed anything extraordinary about her.

I love how Dionne was so buddy-buddy with Renee about Natasha and teaming up to get rid of her. Remember when Dionne ranted about how Renee and Brittany were so fake because they hated each other and then later got along? Sounds like Dionne ended up getting a bitter taste of her own medicine. And Renee certainly has no room to judge.

Personally, given the footage that's been shown, I haven't seen anything about Natasha that appears disingenuous. Even at panel, she smiles a lot, sure, but not in a Melrose way. She seems to smile almost unconsciously due to genuine happiness or perhaps just nerves. But to me, it never seems forced or posed, like Melrose did in every single episode, including her appearance this season. To me, the girls seem to be confusing cultural differences with ulterior motives. Natasha probably seems a bit strange because....wait for it....she's Russian. It reminds me of the American girls who studied with me in Germany. They were appalled that Germans did not serve free tap water at a restaurant and would criticize any waiter who refused to do so and continue to badmouth them for any behavior that deviated in the slightest from American culture. Ignorant bitches.

It does, however, seem odd that Natasha has no pictures of her "husband" or her child with her. I can see where mothers Renee and Dionne would question that.

I guess it would see odd to them, but then, they also didn't hear her husband or child on the phone, which was aired in the episode. Regardless, not showing a picture of your husband and child to your competition, especially if they have frequently expressed their dislike of you, has nothing to do with having the "least potential" as the girls were so quick to accuse. I thought the ambush was totally transparent (as did the judges apparently) and Natasha handled the situation beautifully.

I never cared for Dionne but her pictures were no worse than Jaslene's - who takes the same photo over and over. Renee is the most photogenic but I think too much like Caridee (fair skinned, blue eyes, blond) to win back to back. I don't know why everyone "hates" Natasha so much. She is clearly still struggling with English, and the slightly blank look she gets during judging may be a result of concentration to understand what is going on. Everyone on this show speaks rapidly and with a lot of slangy comments and I think Natasha gets lost. This will hinder her career until she becomes fluent but it shouldn't make people assume the sorts of things that are being suggested.

And as for the lack of pictures - maybe her husband doesn't want his face and their baby's face spread all over the program. Some people like privacy.

All true, and I actually like Natasha to win. If she does, I do predict a National Enquirer kind of expose about the 40+ year old husband, the marriage, the baby, etc. I just feel it in my gut, there is something else there.

I'm feeling Natasha now too!!! I hated her at first and thought she was a joke! She is georgeouse but She still does have an akwardness about her.

Natasha reminds me alot of a girl I know who was also from Eastern Europe with a heavy accent--I think she's real enough...they just have a different way of conducting themselves and so far Natasha has the most positive outlook of any of the girls--she always takes the note and tries to improve. Yes, I thought she was a wuss for letting the sickness ruin her shoot, but I think she learned her lesson. She still has lots of bonus points from rocking that drag photo shoot.

Jaslene has the best runway--still rootin for Cha-Cha!
