Anyone know?
Are those the same as the prepaid Amex cards? Because the commercials say they have the same benefits as regular card holders...
To get the Amex pre sales, you have to enter the customer service phone number from the back of your card. If the Amex gift card has one, try entering it for a show that's having a pre sale to test it. It's more about it taking that phone number to even get you into the seat access process than it is about actually paying with Amex at the end of it all. In fact, I could be wrong, but I'm not sure you even have to pay with Amex.
Well Amex is one of those cards I have never had. Looking to buy tickets for a concert and the add says pre sale for Amex card holders. I don't have a gift card . But I was wondering if I can use it if I buy one.
I think you're right, Art. I've done a few presales and just used the number to get access and paid with my Visa. The only hang up may be what type of Amex presales it is. Sometimes they're just for gold level and higher.

I believe you can, because a friend of mine bought one to purchase pre-sale tickets to In the Heights when it was offering a similar pre-sale before it opened on Broadway and was able to purchase tickets.
