American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore - SPOILERS & OUTRAGE!!!!!

Scott espaces week after week. NOT EVEN IN THE BOTTOM THREE? He was 200% awful this week. Terrible.

Anthony was brilliant. Gave me chills. First person to do that in all seasons.

The judges should vote. That's it. America are all idiots.

Now Constantine or Anthony are left. I thought they would be in the top three with Carrie.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Instantly - three posts about the verdict.

Like I said - it doesn't matter to me anymore. I'll watch for entertainment, but I can't get involved. Upsets me too much.

Paula's crying.

Yes - I think no matter what, Constantine would have had success. Anthony needs it. He deserves it. He can do it. But not without Idol fame.

Elphaba - True. But I knew before the election. Our only choices were Bush and Kerry???

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

I knew last night when Simon said Scott pack your bags, that all of America would feel sorry and vote for him. Ridiculous. No more letting America vote! We suck at it!

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

that's sad. this is really starting to get emotional. Paula is even crying for Constantine! And I can't I believe believe Scott evaded elimination once again! It's a conspiracy from votefortheworst.com!

Scott is a wife-beater. Scott is a horrible singer. Did you see his autobio video yesterday on Idol? "I represent the average joe." You don't represent me! You're an ass. I don't hit my girlfriend (if I had one, but that's another story). I don't sing horribly. You do.

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

I dispise Scott. There's even an entire website that encourages people to vote for him because he's the worst on Idol! If Scott does win, then I won't believe in democracy anymore!

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

yeah, this tidbit of hitting his girlfriend got my attention....and this guy's planning on being the AMERICAN IDOL?

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

Yes, he was arrested once for domestic violence.

Why Idol chose not to release him from the competition is beyond me. They did it with the other guy.

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

The reason the other guy (what's his name again? Isn't he the one now claiming to have had an affair with Paula?) didn't disclose it to them, while Scott told the producers about it beforehand.

re: American Idol Doesn't Matter Anymore

I'm sure Scott has a contigency of folks in his home town who do nothing but sit around collecting welfare checks, breathing through their mouths and hitting re-dial.

Why can't they reverse the voting and let us vote for the person we want kicked off?

Scott--American Nightmare

There's something creepy about Scott's staying power -- what it says about America, his fan base, and our need to "elect" "one of our own" ("our" being a demographic without a poster child) is fascinating, anthropologically speaking. Do the people voting for this man really want to listen to him sing? Would they pay money to watch him warble in a concert? Or is it some sort of revenge of the (fill in the blank ...geeks?) It's scary, and it would be understandable if Scott connected with his in-house audience, and seemed on some level kind, emotionally invested in his singing, and ... entertaining. But he's just scary and somehow succeeding because he's the Anti-Idol. Talk about backlash.
