Wouldn't Heart be in their 50's now? I saw them in concert like 20 years ago when I was in middle school and they were in their 30's then.

It will be interesting to see if they can still bring it like they did back then.

I love this quote from the Chicago Tribune about our Pork Chop:

"This baby-faced, 17-year-old singer is cuter than a basket of puppies — puppies made of rainbows!"

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

re: American Idol this Week

I almost suggested this song...a AI gossip site is saying that David Archuleta will be singing "ANGELS" by Robbie Williams tonight! Put the cover on the sofa and send the kids to the neighbors, Mabel!

I like to call him Chulito.

re: American Idol this Week

If that is really the line up, Brook needs to go just on her song choice. Not that the song is bad, but do we REALLY need her doing another slow, meaningful ballad?
PEACE.

I only caught the last 30 seconds or so of his performance. re: American Idol this Week

Simon was dead-on in his assessment of Johns.

I went to the bathroom - what did he say?

re: American Idol this Week

He said that it was okay. But he needs to stick to a more bluesy sound, because when he goes all-out rocker he comes across wanna-be-ish.

Which he did.

ETA: I know, Liverpool. Except for last week.

re: American Idol this Week

Yes, he did. He also needs to stop with the whole "omggg dreaaaams" thing, because if he wants his dreams to continue coming true he has to pick the right song.

re: American Idol this Week

Syesha is so affected. There is nothing real in her performances. Nothing genuine, just a bunch of manufactured emotion.

re: American Idol this Week

Totally agreed, Priest. Nice high note though.

Wow, Randy is actually making good points tonight. He's right, though, Fantasia had all the emotion Syesha lacks. Shut up, Paula.

re: American Idol this Week

Is it just me or is he messing up the lyrics to one of the most well-known songs ever?
