One more reason why I LOVE this woman!

I posted her speech at the HRC last year and think it worth reposting.

Good for her. One more person to draft for our new religion.

If they left the church right after her brother came out, I wonder why they are saying "quits" like it just happened.
"So what?"
She said it in an interview. It's not like she put out a press release or had a conference about it. Chillax Amanda.
I wasn't talking about Anne Hathaway (whose family I happen to know), but the creation of a thread about something that is not news. It's the olds. And not particularly interesting.
Its in the current issue of The Advocate which is dated February 6th so it is current and it is news. I had never heard this before and I am assuming others did not know it either, which is why it is being highlighted in the new issue. Maybe to those who know Anne and the family it is old news but not to the rest of us.
Zactly. I didn't know, either.
Whether you knew it or not, still doesn't make it news.
It's been part of her bio, forever:

First I've heard of it (and good for her).
At any rate, I wasn't aware that threads had to be about late-breaking news.
The FACT that The Advocate has it in their most recent issue and is highlighting it as a news story DOES make it news. I and others did not know about this. It really is not that big of a deal.It news to some not news to you and others.
Headlines are always written in present or future tense, never in past tense.
All I said was, "So what?"
Why does this bother you so much, JohnBoy?
If it's truly uninteresting to you, you wouldn't keep responding with "So what?" "So what?" "So what?" like Shakespeare's lady protesting too much.
I think it bothers you that a good Christian woman is saying "I reject the Catholic Church because the Catholic Church rejects my brother."

It's interesting to me and many others. I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't been following Hathaway's family or private life, so yeah, it's news to me.

I guess now that she quit Catholicism she can have premarital sex now? Lose that virginity, girl!
does the anal she had with moustache boy in brokeback mountin' count against her virginity?
Michelangelo Signorile was on Joy Behar's show last night discussing it.
Michelangelo Signorile joined Joy Behar and PR reality star Kelly Cutrone last night for a brief segment on Anne Hathaway and the Catholic Church's relationship with gays.
Harrumph, don't they REALIZE this ISN'T NEWS!?!

I'm just happy Anne can get some action now!
I thought JohnBoy told you all to stop talking about this.
He did.
We can only talk about it when he isn't here!
JohnBoy just wanted to be able to casually mention that he "happens to know" Anne's family (to which *I* say..."So what?") and parade his undeniable superiority as a gay man for knowing this while may others did not! Now, thanks to his enlightening me that this is "old news," I will be sure to be on top of EVERYTHING Anne Hathaway mentions in every article in the near future. I will also to aspire to comment in threads that I have no interest in because they are "old news" just so I can throw in the entirely irrelevant comment that I "happen to know" a celebrity and/or her family! Thanks, JohnBoy, for your wisdom!
