Anti-Semitism from the SC GOP

Just when you thought you'd heard it all from the South Carolina GOP...

Two SC county chairmen wrote a letter to a newspaper defending Senator Jim Demint. When you read the quote in the link, keep in mind that this was written to a newspaper by two county chairmen, not an off-the-cuff remark.

When I read this it reminded me of a guy I dated (briefly) who did not understand why the term "Jew you down" was offensive.

I know -when I was teaching I was the only Jewish person in the entire school. In the teachers' room one day, one of the teachers said out loud that she was going shopping later on and was going to "Jew the guy down."

Because irony or sarcasm does not always present itself clearly when posters who have a history of saying things to apparently agitate try and use it.
