spider!!! Are you seriously asking if there was "any other beatles fans" on the board?! Do I need to bring back all my Beatles avatars??
I taught myself English by listening to Beatles songs (with a dictionary in hand) when I was around 7 or 8. It was... somewhat helpful, although my young self couldn't figure out what it *was* they were supposed to be doing in the road.
It's hard to pick a favorite, though. White Album, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers' are all great. If I have to pick, my pick would be Abbey Road, with the medley being my favorite.

Posted: 2/28/05 at 7:54pmOkay, I can't pick just one Beatles song. My favorites are "Eleanor Rigby," "Hey Jude," all of the early stuff, "Yesterday," "In My Life" (it was my class' graduation song! :) ) "Across The Universe," and "The Long and Winding Road."

Even though the lyrics are ridiculously cruel, I've had "I'll Follow the Sun" stuck in my head for the past few days.
When I first got Abbey Road, I listened to nothing but that for weeks. The "Mean Mr. Mustard" through "The End" sequence still never fails to amaze and move me.
Some of my other favorites are "I'm Looking Through You," "Tell Me What You See," "Two of Us," and "Here, There, and Everywhere."
You don't seriously expect me to pick just one, do you? :P

I like many Beatles songs, but my absolute fav is Hey Jude.
I think my favorite album is Meet The Beatles, cause it's the first one I ever owned.

Before I was eating, dreaming, and breathing Broadway, I was eating, dreaming, and breathing the Beatles.
My favorite song is "Hey Jude". My favorite Beatle is Paul McCartney, and my favorite quote is "got to be a joker he just do what he please". Also, "women, children, and Beatles first."

Hard to say what my favorite Beatle songs are. It has to be John Lennon's stuff. I bought everything The Beatles put out and have been singing their songs karaoke for 8 years: Revolution, The Ballad Of John And Yoko, You Can't Do That, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, I Saw Her Standing There, Ticket To Ride, Hey Bulldog, I Feel Fine. Elvis Presley and The Beatles are the only two musical acts in history that actually changed society. It is Elvis, The Beatles, ABBA & Shania Twain. 50 years. http://www.jimcolyer.com

Posted: 3/2/05 at 11:03amI was around for the British Invasion of the US and, one of the reasons why The Beatles did not become a favorite, I think, is that my older sister and brother (and my two younger brothers) were such tremendous fans. Morning, noon and night, you could hear Beatles' tunes coming from each of their rooms. Somebody had to embrace The Dave Clark 5 and The Supremes and the other musical acts of the period. That was me. I did like them, but I became weary of hearing their music. My wife loves them, as do a couple of my kids, so their music is still a part of my life; but I could live without it. I would say A HARD DAY'S NIGHT is my favorite album.

Yes, I LOVE The Beatles. There are too many fantastic songs to pick from but if I really have to, it's probably Hey Jude. Also love Help!

The Beatles wrote and sang so many terrific songs that it is hard to pick one favorite. Some of my choices would be:
***"If I Fell"
***"All My Loving"
***"Back in the USSR"
***"And I Love Her"
***"I Only Want to Dance With You"
***"Here, There, and Everywhere"
***"Penny Lane"
***"I Will"
***"Fool On the Hill"
***"The Long and Winding Road"
Yes - I tend to like the "Paul" songs best. I've seen him in concert 5 times and he is still amazing. I've seen Ringo twice and he is a lot of fun. RIP, John and George.
***Finally, I think the greatest Beatles lyric is - "... and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make".

I can't choose a favorite, but every time "Yesterday" comes on, I cry. I have no idea why.
