Posted: 12/27/06 at 12:08amJust had to jump on the Bowfinger bandwagon. Jiff is probably my favorite Eddie Murphy performance ever (although Jimmy Early may just have unseated him). He is utterly sincere and very damaged -- pretty much the opposite of the Murphy stereotype (which he lampoons as another character in the same movie). The movie is far from perfect but he is unbelievably good in it.

I actually kind of wanted to see him win the Oscar.

At least Murphy was around for about 10 minutes longer than Arkin was.
