I rarely feel that way. He isn't a bad actor, but he is one of those who is only as good as his material. Never better, rarely worse.

fflag, first a stab a Jennifer Hudson, now this. I really take you're not a Dreamgirls fan. , But, I honestly thought he did a good job. But, that might be beacuse what I have to compare it too is so bad.

I do not think he is a great actor (Haven't seen Dreamgirls) but I think he is usually good for a laugh. When one of the kids I work with is on a Mulan kick, he is the only thing that gets me through it.

I think I appreciate him more than I did in the early days. The movie that I think is hilarious is Showtime, with Robert DeNiro. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but between him and William Shatner, I just keep giggling.

I have watched SNL: The Best Of Eddie Murphey more times than I can count. James Brown's Celebrity Hot Tubs, Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood and Velvet Jones are hard to forget.

I have always loved Eddie Murphy. My favorite roles were on SNL.
The kill my landlord and Buckwheat were my favorite skits. He is naturally funny.
His role in Dreamgirls blew me away. I also never realized he could sing. He better get an Oscar nomination for his incredible acting chops in Dreamgirls.
PS I have always had a soft spot for funny men. I had a giant crush on him in Coming to America. I liked him as a Prince and wanted to be his Queen. LOL.
Black men are beautiful. The guy who plays Effie's brother is drop dead gorgeous. Taye is not bad either. Idina is a lucky woman.

Eddie Murphy is a genius. THE NUTTY PROFESSOR movies are believe it or not -- great acting. So glad he found a part worthy of his gifts and that he stopped whoring for a little while so he could actually do it.

His performance in BOWFINGER is one of the funniest I can recall. I don't want to SPOIL the film -- but there is a moment in that film that is so real and so funny -- I almost choked I laughed so hard -- and not because he showed his tush or farted or something -- but because he thought he had discovered something completely preposterous.
